Why don't you edit the wikipedia article on ArmageddonMUD?

Why don't you edit it and make it better?  Maybe add some pictures and more relevant information?

I would love to see a screenshot from a telnet client, with a picture of the green mantis in it, on display for the world to see.

Don't like the relevant information?  Why don't you change it?

You win Armageddon, congratulations!  Type 'credits', then store your character and make a new one

I edited it once to update that Saturday downtime had been phased out.

We as players and/or staff should not really be editing our own Wikipedia page too much, though. It goes against the spirit of their site.

Could you explain a bit more about the spirit of the wikipedia site, and why the players and owners of a certain article shouldn't be editing it "too much" ?

I'm curious.

Wikipedia tries to stay objective. Anyone writing an article about something they're heavily involved in tends to skew the viewpoint.

But who cares about the spirit of Wikipedia? Edit away! If you get reverted, pull the guy into the chat and explain who you are.

Be careful of that.. In my experience, most Wikipedia reverters are basement-dwelling control freaks.

QuoteUnderscores in world events

Also, the Underscores (created in 1976 by esteemed writer/drug addict Hunter S. Thompson) play CS for love of the game. Recently, they played an OGL match (under the guise of their alter ego, the Manhammers) against a collective batch of turtle semen called "Sector 7" and wiped the floor with them. The match was disputed, and demos sent. The OGL ladder admin, after fellating many of the Underscores, had this to say - "It tasted like grapefruit." Ari Fleischer, the press secretary for the Manhammers, had this pearl of verbal bitchslapping to offer the s7 crybabies - "You live in nubland and they own you." I think I'm happy I have no idea what you are talking about.

LAWL. it was all true. every word he said.

This probably goes without saying, but vandalizing Wikipedia using the game's name kind of makes us look bad.

Maybe. Let's hope the the administrator who reverted my 'Elitism'  addition doesn't badmouth the MUD to his friends.

Anyway, I'd like to address my edits. I'm not a -complete- derelict.

Pure comedic value.

Plus edits on Valve, Hardgaming, HardOCP and Gabe Newell from another IP.

I'll see about giving the Arma entry a bit of a makeover.

Please don't vandalize things using our name. That tarnishes our reputation and causes genuine harm to the game.  Thanks.
