Arrange Bug: Important.

Started by Galdun, September 07, 2006, 06:12:23 PM

I bugged this, but I'd like to shed a bit more light on it.

I believe that when you use the 'ARRANGE' command on furniture items that have things 'on' them (l on desk as opposed to l in desk), that the items 'on' the furniture vanish.  It tried it with a desk in my apartment and a few days later I noticed that everything I had once put on that desk was mysteriously gone.  There is no way it could have been stolen.  The same thing with a bed item I arranged.  All the items 'on' it were gone.

This could be a potentially frustrating and confusing problem if it is as I assume.

Check it out.  Let me know what you guys find.

Thanks.

Have you put items on tables/beds and NOT arranged them, and after a week are they still there?

You win Armageddon, congratulations!  Type 'credits', then store your character and make a new one

yes, there was a crash a week or so ago that involved many items on tabletops being lost. Make sure this isn't what happened to you.

Just tried to replicate this.

You call forth a compact baobab table from the plane of Elemental Wind.

You are carrying:
a yellowish, leathery egg
a gaudy crystal-beaded tiara
a pair of sleek, black, quirri-clawed gloves
a hooded, loose black silk greatcloak
a gauzy scarlet cotton veil

>put veil table
You put a gauzy scarlet cotton veil on a compact baobab table.
>l table
This table consists of a round, thick wooden board with a smooth surface,
that has been attached to a single pillar in the same material.  A few
carved lines run along the pillar, but other than that the table is
unadorned, and rather small in size.  The dark maroon baobab hardwood seems
to be of a fine quality, polished smooth and glossy.

There are some spaces at it.

That's sexy.

Sorry!  Must have been that crash Agent was talking about!
