Why don't you just alias it? Most people normally only use two certain swords.

alias sp sheathe scimitar
alias ss sheathe knife

Well.. not to be picky.. but a lot of people don't use swords
So I took the liberty changing your sword to the now, more politicly correct,two certain Weapons of mass destruction and elf killers.

Isn't that why we have Draw spear primary? and draw axe secondary?
and Draw Axe two, and draw spear two, Just alias those if you use only those two weapons

This isn't correct, previous PCs of mine have started out with two weapons but through various situations have added one or more others.  For example, skinning knife, sparring weapons, weapons you're testing out, two_handed and one_handed weapons you alternate depending on mounted versus unmounted hunting/combat.

Making an alias works only if you have two weapons, which works in a lot of cases and doesn't work in a lot of other cases.

I'd hope it could be changed, if possible.

Just add an extra letter onto the end of the alias.. one for each weapon you might be taking around.

Unless your items are identical, it shouldn't be a problem.
wielding a bone bastard sword
and wielding a bone short sword

You could do 'sheath short' to sheath the shortsword,
and 'sheath bastard' to sheath the bastard sword.

Just pay attention to which you drew first.

Um....yeah.  My problem is, MY WEAPONS ARE IDENTICAL.  And you can't sheath 2.weapon....it just isn't coded, unfortunately.

You are out in the desert.

You have two identical swords.

You have dismounted, drawn both swords, are at not a caravan guide.

You have to run in a hurry, and keep a weapon in your primary.

Sheath seconday seems like a pretty good idea to me.

You can alias a lot of things that are coded into the game, but for ease, they're coded in. Personally, I think this is a great idea, and don't see why so many people have brushed it off.

Needs an optional second argument, so that you can "ss wrist".

ss belt (if its a belt sheath for knives)

ss strap

ss 2.strap

ss 3.strap...


etc.

but...

I want to be able to load a weapon into my second sheath i have.

Right now, I have to remove my first sheath item, and then be able to load it with a knife, before loading it up again.

Well.. just so I am not backstabbed when I sleep..
I have changed my mind with the addition of the
'ss sheathe'
'ss 2.sheathe'
and so on.
I don't like it -very- much when your just sheathing it onto a belt.
