Sup guys?

Ever played a herbalist, but felt stupid because you don't know the names of the plants while you should/could know them?

Here's old, official armageddon sources that help you with info on plants.

Quoting with fixed links.

Also the current list is here: https://www.armageddon.org/help/view/Herbs

Protip: if you type list shopkeepename herbname and there's a match, it shows you the herb. This is a way to learn names ICly alone if you RP it as chatting with the shopkeep about the names. But not all have names and most with two word names don't have them as keywords. Which lets you make up names and discuss icly.

Oh damn. I thought it was all removed.

Guess my list is outdated.

The benefit of having the initial links the original poster shared is the ability to quickly search for specific items using the 'find' function. For instance, you can input 'dusky crimson' to locate information about dusky crimson herbs. I used to feel a strong sense of guilt about this method, convinced it was unfair, and would concoct elaborate explanations for my knowledge. Surprisingly, few others seemed to utilize this technique.

Instead of focusing on whether your character should know something, consider the plausibility of acquiring that information in-game. Could a shopkeeper provide this knowledge? Is it something your character could reasonably learn through gameplay? This approach emphasizes role-playing over out-of-character exploitation. If you're unsure about an item's rarity, don't hesitate to ask a staff member or helper for clarification.

I believe there might be some discrepancies between the old and new herb lists, but I haven't verified this yet.
