i've never mudsexed, never will. technically i have on another website with my ex but that wasn't a MUD or sex.

i've been offered mudsex once on ARM. to date i've made all but three of my characters of boring or hideous appearance and figure. i die frequently.

i'm surprised i never saw people at it in game, though i saw two chicks in bed acting cuddly one time. on another MUD i couldn't get people to leave me alone and i'm very sensitive so its sort of scarring. on this one people have always behaved. i must be playing in the wrong places because i've seen more public action at my grade school than i have here.

i'm interested to know if there are harems on ARM. that'd be funny and interesting. the wives/husbands of the said harem owner could conspire behind his or her back to get him or her to do something they want done in exchange for having a good time. i think harem owning and said political corruption by harem would fit the tone of Tuluk quite well, all that behind closed doors junk.

Hlum nobles may marry into Surif Houses, or have romantic relationships with Surif nobles. Alternately, they may keep one commoner mate as Hlum consort, but otherwise they must give up all romantic liaisons with commoners, just as Surif nobles do.

So Hlum nobles have a choice:
- take a single Chosen Consort to have a romantic relationship with, and forego all romantic relationships with Surif (born into nobility) nobles and other commoners
- take no Chosen Consort, forego all relationships with commoners, but have romantic relationships with Surif nobles

At least that's how I understand it, and have seen it done.

They have one choice:  take a commoner consort or not.  Nowhere in the documentation does it state that they may not have relations with or marry a Surif noble if they chose a commoner consort.  Read it again carefully.

It says "alternately". That implies keeping a commoner consort substitutes the ability to marry into Surif houses and have romantic relationships with Surif nobles.

Although you might be right, that's pretty much what it says. If what you said is true it would be better for the docs to say "Additionally".

I agree with the conclusion but not the premise.

Citizens of Tuluk all belong to one of four castes. Tuluki caste hierarchy is rigid in some ways while relaxed in others. Generally, friendship can exist across all caste lines, but sexual relationship cannot (the use of pleasure slaves does not constitute a relationship). And, although one might have a friend of another caste, neither one would ever forget the difference in their respective status.

In Tuluk, nobles and commoners can be friends, and the reason for this goes back to the occupation. The sexual restriction is a consequence of the caste system. I think it's an important distinction.

Actually, IG, I'm not sure being ivory-skinned helps except to a minority; not OOC but IG. in a world where just about everyone's light brown at lightest, creamy-skinned people... i don't know how to explain it. its sort of like if 1% of the world here in real life had light grey skin. because we are used to different skin ranges than that, it might be a turn-off for more people than a turn-on.

at least i'm assuming that's the general consensus IG and feel free to enlighten me

My disgust has never been the people that are getting off by reading 'penis goes into vagina', my disgust has always been for the people who get off with the horrific gore, torture and violence that is sometimes graphically RPed in meticulous detail  but hey, its okay right? I'm pretty sure those people at least fade out when it comes to innocent mud sex at least.
