partial successes?

I've allways wondered this.

I have seen some partial successes, or what seem to be partial successes on things, IE:

Your blow bounces of (x animal's)  thick skin

or

You visciously leap at (x pc) but there (x armor) blocks you.

Or when skinning and you only manage to get like, one hunk of meat but nothing else.

Are these considered a success (because you did land a blow or you did manage to get somehting while skinning)

Or is it considered a failure, and your skill has an (albeit probably smaller) chance of increasing? (because you didn't penitrate or get everyhitng you could have)
I remember recruiting this Half elf girl. And IMMEDIATELY taking her out on a contract. Right as we go into this gith hole I tell her "Remember your training, and you'll be fine." and she goes "I have no training." Then she died

This isn't something a player or a staff member could answer for you, as it deals with game mechanics.

We do not share the mechanics behind coded things in the game.

With appropriate roleplay of course.

Why don't we share specific mechanics of the code?  That's a good question.

It has to do with the focus of what ArmageddonMUD wants to portray to the population that plays it.  The MUD wants people to put the story of the characters that we create first and foremost, before we start talking about min/maxing stats/skills and creating the most strongest character ever.  It's also the reason why the MUD does not display in number form your skill percentages, your stat levels, and exactly how much damage you did with your swing of your sword.

It's part of the design of the game.   It's a weird mix of a MUSH and a MUD and it's hardcore to the max.

You win Armageddon, congratulations!  Type 'credits', then store your character and make a new one
