Anyone know the character limit on this? I stopped playing for a months and unless I put in something very very basic, it tells me its too long. Has it been changed or something, cause it seems to me that its shorter than before

It's based on your sdesc length.

The formula is:
80 - sdesc = ldesc length

Therefore:
The small, blue-eyed boy = 23 characters
Maximum ldesc length -> 57 characters

The willowy, chocolate-haired woman = 35 characters
Maximum ldesc length -> 45 characters

You say, helpfully, in sirihish,
  "Hey, I wish they'd limit the 'arrange' descriptions to a total of 80 charac--"
A blood-red barbed sheaf arrow flies in from the north and strikes your neck!

You may:
     (C) Disconnect from character      (V) Toggle ANSI/VT100 mode
The sword is sharp, the spear is long,
The arrow swift, the Gate is strong.
The heart is bold that looks on gold;
The dwarves no more shall suffer wrong.
