wisdom got lower

Out of the blue; not starving, not magicked, etc., wisdom dropped down
a step.  Only 30 years old...remember reading something about being
logged in on your anniversary date stats might go up...might they go down?
Ideas? or is this some IC thing, used a certain spice too much???
I'd rather be lucky than good.

There are substances IG that can raise or lower your stats..it could have been that you took one of them, then had it's effect wear off.

I've come to the conclusion that relaxing is not the lack of doing anything, but doing something that comes easily to you.

Also,

Immortals have stated that you do not require to be logged in during your birthday to take advantage of your potential stat change.

You win Armageddon, congratulations!  Type 'credits', then store your character and make a new one

Anniversary=when you started playing? Where can I learn more?

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

Believe he means the birthday of your character.... Such as this young gentleman said!

"Don't take life too seriously, nobody ever makes it out alive anyway."

Hmm, uhm... wisdom is ony supposed to go UP in age, from my understanding.  Maybe you hit your head too many times or smoked too much spice.  My bet is that you probably spent too much time around a cursed finger wiggler.

...Where can I learn more?

I'm also curious, I've never seen anything like stats change over characters birthdays.  *is curious*
Previous of note: Kaevya the blind Tor Scorpion, Kaloraynai 'Raynai' the beetle Ruk, Korenyire of SLK, Koal 'Kick' the hooved Whiran, Kocadici/Dici/Glimmer, Koefaxine the giant Oashi 'Aide', Kosmia 'Grit' the rinthi
Current: Like I'd tell you.

Blame the first gemmer you see... That's the Zalanthan way...

You try to cook the meat, but burn it.
>think ... cursed gemmers...
....
The stone shatters as you try to shape it.
>think ... cursed gemmers...
....
You trip and fall as you try to walk, you drunk!
>think ... cursed gemmers...

That's it!
Q  : Where do you piss?
Yam: On elves.
Q  : And if the area, lacks elves at the given time?
Yam: Scan.

It's been stated that stats have a SMALL chance to go UP, albeit sometimes not even noticeably, on your PC's birthday.

That's all.

I've seen stats change during a birthday.

However, usually after playing a character from 15 - 35, I email into my clan immortals at the age of 24 requesting a reroll, and I usually get it.

If you use certain substances a lot -- Find out IC if they have long lasting effects or not. :)

If you feel it's nothing you've done, put in a request to have staff look at it, someone may have edited the wrong person, you never know.

I'm sure it's something you've done though ;-)
For FantasyWriter:
Never again will I be a fool, I will from now on, wrap my tool.

Age affects stats.  We are told this when making a character.

As our characters age, wisdom has a chance to go up... strength will go up and then start going down... agility goes down... endurance goes down.

I figured this out.  Too IC to explain but now I understand
why.
I'd rather be lucky than good.

My theory is that you stepped into a time machine, and instead of bringing you, to the past, it brought the past, to you!  Hence it made you younger, your character lost all knowledge of the future events and since you were younger you had your wisdom lower as well.

My best guess is that it happened like this:

examine barrel
-A thick baobab barrel stands before you, it stands about 5 cords tall and is about three cords wide.
It looks like it would be capable of holding a large man.  Also, it may be a time machine.

enter barrel
-you enter barrel

*pop*
leave barrel
-you leave the barrel and enter the small empty room

examine self
You are younger, dumber, but have hair again!

think Sweeeet
May God have mercy on my foes, because I wont.

The imms ate your brainz.

Corresponding decreased intellectual activity registers as lower wisdom.
There is no general doctrine which is not capable of eating out our morality if unchecked by the deep-seated habit of direct fellow-feeling with individual fellow-men. -George Eliot

Yea.  This recently happened to me.  Perhaps it's because of a habit of mine... I just wish I knew if it was permanent because it doesn't seem to change.
