I urge a large group of slaves to prepare a BIG flat on the desert.

Then all of the vivaduans (VNPC and NPC) will go there and spam create water to fill it.

Then after it is created they will go there once in a day (like the morning devotions for them) and create some more water to keep it running.

Then some other magickers should -summon- fish into it.  Now we have a magicker supplied lake?

So a lake would ruin the feel of a desert but a river wouldn't? That makes little to no sense.

And yeah, it's not like I hold a grudge or anything
