My guess is that this isn't a crash, but rather a network event of some kind.  I can't even reach the machine.  I experienced a similar event this morning, too.

Do we need new hardware again already? This brings back bad memories of the time around the last HRPT.

If we're standing around ingame and not linkdead, will we be able to have characters ressurected if they died to thirst/starvation or anything else related to the fact that it's not an actual crash?

Fecking crap this is horrible.  I've feared for my character's life each time I've been caught in this (twice now), never mind being in so called "safe" areas; I know just how "safe", "safe" areas are.

Whatever the reason for the wave of disconnecting, you can log back in, now.  For all of us lucky enough to be able to grab time for this, better do so.  I've been wondering around Allanak, and it's been amusing to find out where everyone was when they got "krath struck".

Seriously, get in, log out.  It's a twink pick-pocket's wet dream IG at the moment.

I'm not reaching the mud, so it may be a network connection.

I know two other people that reported being lagged out at about the same time as me, but another person reported being happily connected for a few minutes longer but then reported the same symptoms.

What that could mean for when things'll be working again?  No idea.

I've been battling a crappy connection, but now I can't connect to www.armageddon.org at all.  It's not like when the mud is down.  It simply times out.

So....sorry I dropped out of the converstaion IC.  Hopefully someone doesn't gack me while I'm LD.

Just out of curiousity, does Ginka need upgrades? If it's dedicated to running Arm, it seemed to be doing the job.

Why not invest in an inexpensive second system that can substitute for Ginka during downtimes like this?

You know what's worse than the MUD being down? Logging into the MUD with a new phone from a client you don't really know only to immediately have your phone vibrate (while on silent) and the System tell you "Yes". Fucking terrifying yo.

Seems to be a DNS lookup issue as far as I can tell, and not just limited to my provider.
