Beasts and Help Files

Exhibit A: http://www.armageddon.org/general/beasts.html

Half the animals on this page don't have help files, and probably 90% of the rest have crappier entries than exist on this page.

I think every entry on the above link needs to be put into the in-game help files.

I was just thinking this today.  So...I agree.
Child, child, if you come to this doomed house, what is to save you?

A voice whispers, "Read the tales upon the walls."

The documentation shows what is commonly known...so people know that those exist, but it doesn't mean they know anything about the creatures.

I wish that everything would match up with in game help files and web page help files.

I really dislike the interweb.

You win Armageddon, congratulations!  Type 'credits', then store your character and make a new one

I've updated the in-game files and added those that were missing for the Animal Life web page.  There is now a 'help Animal Life' that lists all the animals that we have documented.

Me too.

I tried to have his babies once, but he put a restraining order on me.

I'm sorry, but this doesn't make any sense to me. Shouldn't we have had a 6-page argument detailing why newbies should be forced to go looking for this information before the thread was locked?

Oh well. I suppose this works too. Thanks.

You know, I've at times also wished in game, when my knowledgable huntsman is conversing with the locals about what he killed, and ooops what it looks or the name, there was a helpfile you could quickly access in game, somewhat linked like the beautiful geography help files.

http://www.armageddon.org/general/beasts.html

That is an amazingly useful link, and if even more detail was presented in it, per-say actual descriptions from mobs in game, it would be beautiful, and I feel give people a better respresentation and feel for what the creatures look like, as that page simply names off a few schematics, and doesn't give you a feel for it, like a look bahamet would. =)

But yeah I agree help file systems in game for animals, would be splendid, but I think it would be up to the players in this case to make submissions, to aid the IMMS a bit, very good idea though.
