Bandana

Wouldn't a bandana cover the face much like a facewrap would cover the face?

Yes.
"A man's reputation is what other people think of him; his character is what he really is."

But they don't. Why not?

Assess them.

It will tell you if you can put them on the face with 'wear bandana face' or not.

If not, assume they are too thick to breath through, the wrong shape to tie in place, or some other such thing.  If you feel it should be flagged otherwise, I think you can 'bug bandana this item should be able to be worn on the face, I think'.  I -think- you can use the bug command for that, but wait for a staff approval on that or email the account.

Meh. You /can/ wear it on your face, and I they are thick enough to breath through. Bandits used em in the Wild west, and they've been redone so many times in movies..
Not sure if Arm Bandanas are different, though :/

i think bandanas have the most wear_slots in the game.
should flag it "ass-wipeable"
A foreign presence contacts your mind.

they don't cover like a facewrap, masking your sdesc, but you can wear all of them on your face.

why don't they cover your sdesc? too small, I think. Hell, most sdescs involve eyes and hair, which bandanas definitely don't cover when worn on the face.

Neither do Facewraps, But they change your mdesc.

If we could just RP it a little -

Guard:  "What did the elf look like?"
Victim: "Dunno - tall, lanky - had a bandana on his face."
Guard: (dryly) "Yeah, I'll get right on that."
Victim: "Wait, I remember he tattoo of a naked templar on his fist right before he hit me with it."
Guard: "Oh, well, that's somethin', anyways."

I mean - whether you got a good look at the guy or not - can't you just give the details that you imagine your character would have caught without having mind bender-esque photographic memory?

only super special rare facewraps change your mdesc, and they're controlled by staff. So, not quite.

Also, regular facewraps do cover your sdesc, but I imagine them to be FACE-wraps. They wrap up your entire face and most of your hair. You might have itty bitty eyeslits, or the material might just be see through when only 1 -ply thick.

I'd probably go with idea, instead of bug, but that'd be fine.

A face wrap is a loooong piece of cloth that you wrap around your head and face, covering up everything but your eyes.

- (Ninjas who prefer not to wear hoods use face wraps to conceal their identities.)

A bandana is a smaller square piece of cloth that can be tied around the face, but isn't large enough to wrap up your face in.

- (Pirates wear these on their head to keep their knappy locks under control.)
I tripped and Fale down my stairs. Drink milk and you'll grow Uaptal. I know this guy from the state of Tenneshi. This house will go up Borsail tomorrow. I gave my book to him Nenyuk it back again. I hired this guy golfing to Kadius around for a while.
