Archery Progression Changes?

Hello! I haven't played a ranger-type in YEARS, and I was just wondering if there were changes to Archery skill progression at some point where it advances more slowly like other combat skills.

If there were no changes besides splitting the skills, then either I was just super lucky in the past, or I am super unlucky now.

No change at all from how it used to be.

It isn't luck based, but if you have lower wisdom it will affect your progression speed in a certain way, without going into details.

From memory desert elves have a bit less wisdom now than in the ranger days so technically you could say archery progression on desert elves is slightly slower now than in back in the day if you are comparing desert elves now to desert elves then.
