Bettering my relationship with the land.

QuoteIf your character is standing in a location which is already arable (capable of supporting plant life), pouring water (and water only) on the ground will assist in the development of more life in that area. This will have the effect of bettering your character's relationship with the Land, and improving the ability of people nearby to recuperate. (note:  You can also pour liquids on light sources. Pouring it out on a lit flame can have varying effects.)

Is this coded?

From HELP GATHER :
QuoteOnce a sorcerer has begun defiling in earnest (shown with the stat command), he/she will no longer be able to stop taking life from nearby, no matter what he/she does. In order to return to the path of the preserver (as sorcerers who do not take the Land's energy are known) the defiler must find arable land, and water it continuously until his/her relationship with the Land is restored to at least "neutral" status.
Any questions, comments, or condemnations to an eternity of fiery torment?

Waving a hammer, the irate, seething crafter says, in rage-accented sirihish :
"Be impressed.  Now!"

So, forgive me if I sound air-headed here, is there a positive status?

For example:

Your relationship with the land ROCKS!! (get it? ..rocks..)

Yes.

You win Armageddon, congratulations!  Type 'credits', then store your character and make a new one

Does it have any effect for non-spellcasters?
As the great German philosopher Fred Neechy once said:

I hear it has the same effect as liquid wood.  The Zalanthas equavlent of viagra.

As far as I know, watering the land does not work code wise.  You need imm support.  The same goes for a defiler who wants to be a preserver.

And your relationship with the land part, well, I never have seen anything other than neutral.  But then again, I never went on watering the land and stuff.
some of my posts are serious stuff

No.  It's only for Sorcerers, either Defilers or Preservers.  Don't worry about it.

Perhaps, for non-magickers, it shouldn't even show up.  Sorta like the mana stat.  Everybody has some mana, but it's only useable for Magickers.  (It'll show up if you use the infobar, but it won't show up if you type score)

I'd like to point out a few things on this thread:

1) This is the sort of thing you should either email the Mud about, or (even better), find out IC.

2) Its unlikely you'll be getting very accurate information from non-staff. I would take everything with a grain of salt.

What you know is incorrect, then.

For the love of all that's Holy in Allanak (ok, very little), don't listen to Mansa, he's no idea what he's talking about on this one.
