Have you noticed....

When you're bored out of your mind with your char and what's going on with them, you NEVER die. Even when you try.And when you're having fun and staying safe, you die? Is it just me? Or does everyone have this problem?

If I got bored of a char, and wanted him dead, Im sure I could find a way to accidently die :P
May God have mercy on my foes, because I wont.

Nah... your boring h-giant never dies that way.
quote="Ghost"]Despite the fact he is uglier than all of us, and he has a gay look attached to all over himself, and his being chubby (I love this word) Cenghiz still gets most of the girls in town. I have no damn idea how he does that.[/quote]

Did you ever try jumping off of a 5 story tall tower :P
May God have mercy on my foes, because I wont.

Poor amok.

There's ways of dying, if you really want.

#1 wish all Nessalin sucks

#2 kill templar

#3 wish all I'm really bored and looking to die, can anyone help me out?

If you really want to die, you type "wish all Halaster is a pansy"

I've had that happen to a character once. Here's a few suggestions.  :)

1) First, find out what it is that is making your character boring. Is it his/her occupation? Is it his/her social life?

2) Simply put, you gotta fix it.
- Here's a couple ways I feel have helped me combat the illness called Boredom. (Caution: You may have to change the personality of your current character, as well as the profession/clan that you are in.
 I think the biggest problem that causes Boredom lies within your character concept. If your character concept is too simple, sometimes your left with nothing to accomplish or strive toward other than skills. Instead of trying to buff up your character code-wise, getting the concept of your character planted on a firm foundation (early on if possible) allows for more enjoyment of your character further down the line.
 With a character concept in mind (an IC goal in a simplified term), you can now make your character's personality more ellaborate. Theres plenty of guides out there with questions to help fletch out your character.
 Get active! Its easier said than done but if you know what your character wants, its much easier to find broad goals, and then subgoals for each goal. Maybe you want to become the best hunter in the Known World? That would be -way- to broad, in my opinion, and so several subgoals might help. Perhaps along the way, your interested in mapping out the Red Dessert. You can make a subgoal that has your character organize an exploration caravan to trek into the wilds for new mysteries. (Also, its good to remember that -any- character can make a difference on Zalanthas if you want to. Get a good network of allies and even your simple -commoner- can make a difference. Get the right connections, even a -slave- could probably do something that would effect the world.)
 And one last thing to mention...I, personally, recommend using OOC means to roleplay your character. For example, because many characters can't write, he/she wouldn't be able to write a journal, but writing one OOCly when not playing helps alot in developing your character. Write a short story of an important event in your characters life or organize your characters goals and subgoals, almost anything can help make your character more easier to play and also more enjoyable.

...whew. Hope that helps. In all respect though, try not to retire or kill your character unless theres a good reason. Unless you need to start completely over, its best to build up on your current one and make it a lasting impression. Also, on a side note, although servants may not have all that much freedom to make their own goals and such, (and you want the servant to be loyal and trusting) sometimes you can find that they have more power than you first thought they had.   .

(In a professional voice) "All you have to do is follow the four steps of self enlightenment and you can forever be free of the Boredom disease." May the blessings of life fall upon you.  :D

Mmm...also a valid point.

Knock it off.  Rather than debating whether something is "too IC for the GDB" (by repeating the information over and over and OVER, cursing, and drawing as much attention to it as possible), please simply email MUD & CC a staff member of your choice.

I'm deleting several posts.  Let's stay on topic.

See, my CHAR doesn't want to die. She rather likes her life. I REALLY hate killing my chars off myself. I did it once, and I regret it. Solas told me more of what I was looking for in the way if replys. Thanks.

-Tortall, just just now relized she hadn't loged in when the orgnially started this thread.
The man asks you:

The man says, ooc:
