Here we share our prompts and the things that make prompts so awesome.
84;108|112;124|100;100|armed>
%h;%H|%v;%V|%t;%T|%A>
For me, the %A is pretty useless. I ALWAYS forget when I'm armed, and it doesn't help at all. I'm thinking of switching it to time, since then I wouldn't have to type >time constantly.
[Name] ??/??h, ??/??e, ??/??s [armed|resting|sneaking|sirihish]
[before dawn|riding: none|Ldesc]
???h/???H;???t/???T;???v/???V;sitting;unarmed;before dawn >
prompt <Health:%h/%H Stun:%t/%T Stam:%v/%V - %A - %s - %e>
<Health:x/X Stun:x/X Stam:x/X - unarmed - standing - before dawn>
prompt <%h/%v%t>
<100/123/115>
I always wonder why people put in their maximums for hitpoints and such. My normal is:
H:%h S:%t V:%v %a >
Two spaces after the >
Add in other stuff for sneakies or magickers or whatnot.
My standard prompt:
> HP: %h - MV: %v - ST: %t / standing - walking - unarmed / sirihish - southern - high sun
The third part on language/accent/time is for when my PC have lots of appointments to catch. (the damnable Allanaki gate)

Because then you have something to compare how many hp you have with how many you have at maximum and you know how badly hurt you are. This helps roleplay your injury, sometimes. At least for me.
Also, sometimes some of the stats change due to clothes/spells/whatever and it's interesting to see.
<%h/%v/%t/walking/riding/standing>
<%h/%Hhp %m/%Mma %t/%Tst %v/%Vmv>\n%s : %w : %A : %O : %e\n%L\n\n
<100/100hp 100/100ma 100/100st 100/100mv>
standing : walking : armed : neutral : early morning
ldesc : is sitting here drooling on himself.
note: the ldesc line only appears if I change my ldesc to something other than standard.
Showing my maximums also provides another reminder to me whether I'm listening, in contact, etc.
Mine looks like this:
[Health:???;Stamina:???;Stun:???]
[walking-standing-sirihish-unarmed]
Edit: Ha. With numbers in place of the smileys.
prompt <%h/%Hhp %v/%Vmv %t/%Tst | %A %w %s | You are speaking %a-accented %o | Your mood is %O | %k | time: %e | %L>\\n
All goes to the bar at the bottom of the screen, for one line.
<char.name| 100/100 | 100/100 | 100/100 | 100/100 |before dawn|standing>
hp stun mana mv
if applicable
HP: 100/100 | MV: 100/100 | ST: 100/100 | standing | unarmed>
I also have MUSHclient highlighting the word "armed" in yellow.
So- all you one-armed persons? You stand out.

The two-armed, ten-fingered man has arrived from the north.
I have zMUD highlighting the string "| armed" so that only the instances of "armed" which are in my prompt get highlighted. Simple fix.
Health: %h/%H; Stun: %t/%T; Stamina: AWESOME >
all the vets have seen mine before, but then, all the vets have seen threads like this before.

*leaks rumors of version 1.2 which offers 17 variables instead of just a measly 9!*
[Venomz|251hp 183mv 206st|southern sirihish|standing & walking|riding: none]
Usually it is:
prompt %h/%H_%v/%V_%t/%T_%w_%A>\n
Sometimes it is:
prompt %h/%H_%v/%V_%t/%T_%w_%A>\n Note: You are a(n) (insert mood)y person. Be (Copy mood form earlier.)!\n

I use Agent_137's infobar. 'Cause I'm awesome.
Social prompt.
<jcljules: content; English (joyzian), late at night, (120/120/120)>
Mine normally looks like:
[H: ?? | V: ?? | T: ?? | Time]
Where the ??'s are the current levels for my PC's health, stamina, and stun points respectively.
How do people get the screen break in there to make a prompt look like:
[Some stuff]
[Some more stuff]
... I really would like to be able to do that.
\n
I almost want to use that MUSHclient infobar, but if I did use it, I'd be at such a loss for what to put in as a prompt - having all that empty space would be absolutely terrifying. A MUD without a prompt. I don't know if I could cope.
Inspired by Agent:
#CLASS {Prompt}
#VAR hp {97}
#VAR maxhp {97}
#VAR stam {119}
#VAR maxstam {124}
#VAR stun {96}
#VAR maxstun {96}
#VAR position {sitting}
#VAR speed {walking}
#VAR armed {unarmed}
#VAR time {late afternoon}
#TRIGGER {H: (%n)/(%n) | S: (%n)/(%n) | ST: (%n)/(%n) | (%w)/(%w) | (%*) | (%*) >$} {

} "" {prompt}

#CLASS 0
Yes, it's deliberately supposed to not parse to the stat bar when in combat: I like it being on-screen when fighting.
prompt <%e, Hp %h, Mv %v, St %t>
That's what I use..
I tried the infobar thing with Mushclient but it couldn't find the infobar file... Wtf... Saved it, checked it, rechecked, no luck.
[101/101 149/164 101/101] walking / unarmed / high sun
HP MV ST
Changes from character to character, but that's my current.
::) I just use a simple, and to the point prompt:
<%h-%v-%t>
<112-100-89>say (with a firm nod) I just like it because it's simple, and easy to read!
HP[100/100] MV[100/100] ST[100/100] walking unarmed dawn
prompt <%h/%Hhp %t/%Tsn %v/%Vsm (%e) %A (%w)>/n
Looks like -
<?/?hp ?/?sn ?/?sm (before dawn) unarmed (walking)>
Prior to this thread, I didn't even know there was a mood option, much less a mood prompt thingy. Learn something new every day ;D ... I'm such a noob sometimes.
I might have to change it up, to incorporate mood in there.
">help prompt" is your friend :D
My prompt:
XXhp XXXmv XXst |standing|walking|sirihish|unarmed|late at night|
Here is what I use to get it:
prompt %hhp %vmv %tst |%s|%w|%o|%A|%e|
Enjoy!

Or for magickers...

Why is my HP so low? Because it does this...
Olgaris the GIANT ASS is here, bleeding profusely.
I use a pretty simple one for all of my characters ...
-> HP: %h/%H - STA: %v/%V - STU: %t/%T\n\n
If it's a magicker, then I add in a section for mana ...
-> HP: %h/%H - MP: %m/%M - STA: %v/%V - STU: %t/%T\n\n
Quotecurrent/max_hp current/max_move current/max_stun position-speed-language-accent (time)
current mana-long description>
Mine is huge.
For magick characters:
[ H: (Health) | M: (Mana) | S: (Stamina) | P: (Stun) ]
[ Vis | not flying | riding: none ]
[ walking | standing ] ldesc : for when I have one.
[ accent language | mood | time ]
For mundanes:
[ H: (Health) | M: (Mana) | S: (Stamina) | P: (Stun) ]
[ riding: none | walking | standing ] ldesc : for when I have one.
[ accent language | mood | time ]
Mine changes slightly everytime I pass through the Hall of Kings but generally goes something like:
%n has %h/%H hp, %t,%T st, (%m/%M ma,) and %v/%V mv >\n
He/She is %s while %w and %A >\n
He/She is also speaking %a %o, feeling %O at %e >\n
Generally stick to three lines. Sometimes replace %O mood with what I'm riding %k. I like it not being just a set of numbers and flags so it looks something like:
Amos has 100/100 hp, 75/95 st, and 101/115 mv >
He is standing while walking and is armed >
He is speaking southern sirihish, feeling slightly aroused at early morning >
Once I have it set up I'll generally alias the hole string to 'prompt' so I can add a fourth line to it in play. The fourth line doesn't hold any flags I use it for brief important information to remember such as:
He is currently using Cactus as an alias here in the ruins of Steinal >
or
He is trying to get into Malik's pants. Remember he likes purple spiced wine >
I don't write many notes other than what goes in my prompt's fourth line. Also I would really enjoy a prompt flag that let you display your current objective in the prompt.
