This is pretty simple, and stems from the Whoring talk in World Discussion.

Discuss your experiences with whoring, if you used to not (at all) and now do, and so forth. What changed your mind?

It was just so cheap and we were on vacation.

That strikes up an idea: Players should discuss if they've ever roleplayed a contracted disease.

The poll options don't seem quite right to me.

I've had characters who used whores virtually all the time. But I don't whore otherwise.

My Bynner had a Trooper in her unit who suffered very openly from crotch rot. It was probably the most hilarious story arc I encountered in that clan. He also had a VNPC son that he beat, but that's a little off-topic.

I've done a couple whore-likes. I generally can't stand to be anything but funny whores, though. Being sultry is just plain gross for me to roleplay.

I've never played a whore, and I probably never will - as it's just not something that interests. One of my past characters was involved in hiring whores out though, disgusting 'rinthi whores. Yay. I've also never hired a whore, though I've had a character that probably would have made use of male concubines and such virtually. I don't feel the need to RP this side of my characters lives really.

It's not that I am uncomfortable with the idea of whoring being part of the world or anything like that. I quite enjoy the added grit that the idea brings to Arm, however I personally am just more interested in other parts of the game.

I am a whore for Arm.

I usually stick to vNPCs.

People don't make use of male PC whores enough, but I have played a few. Mostly, they end up earning their living through other means, but don't mind taking a handful of 'sid to blow a dude.

I haven't really played very long, and haven't met any whores in the game, but I think trying to play one would be interesting.

I've been playing for two, and I've only met one PC whore...

Make more!!!

I think whores are great when they show up and actually stick with their job instead of becoming aides.  I hire whores whenever I encounter them so I can encourage the profession!

I think people should post about their good PC whoring experiences.

Once my pc hired an whore. And I said, let's ftb, and he said, ok, but can we just stay here for a bit so people won't think my whore is too fast.

So, I played a game where I was pretending to have sex and then while pretending to have sex idled to pretend to have sex. And I'm still amused.

I didn't know there was actually a way you could RP an actual 'ho on this game. I guess I have found a new character idea down the line.

The interesting thing to me is that I thought everyone was Rping a 'ho in one way or another. The way the game is so gritty in 'Nak makes me think that 'ho's just arent the ones who hang out in a tavern waiting for someone to pay them for you-know-what.

One time, years ago, when I was a teenage newbie, I played a whore who would get her client naked and then kill them with a knife.

She died on her first target when I neglected the fact that her combat skills were terrible and the guy could just, y'know, pick up his sword pretty easily.

I have never played a PC whore, or bought a PC whore, but all of the whores I have interacted with made the game a much richer place. I've had some really world-enriching interactions with PC whores, and they seem to have very interesting quirks. They are also usually hilarious, from my experiance. I'll probably play a PC whore some day, just to see what mischief and mayhem they can get into, or comic relief they can provide.

I once played an elf who had public lice.  He was also somewhat dim-witted, so scratching himself in public wasn't out of the question.

Oh, I'm pretty sure you're not, jcljules. I think a staff member mentioned once that someone played a successful whore who would usually ftb. And if I'm remembering that particular thing wrong, well I'm still sure it's done frequently.

Most of my whoring experiences have been virtual. Just drop some coins on the whore NPC or whatever to simulate the money spent. Kind of like junking food items to feed vNPC relatives.

The few times I haven't FTB'ed, the scenes ended up pretty hysterical.

Buzzard eggs in unusual places, hitting the wrong orifice, and the unforgettable scene when my character howled in agony as his own man-juice pegged him square in the eye.

A friend of mine in college once had to go door-to-door in our dorm to ask for eye drops after his boyfriend accidentally did that to him.  I made to sure to laugh at his expense.  He would've done the same for me.

I had a noble buy my slave PC a whore (also PC) for his 17th birthday.  That was a neat experence that actually did add to the game.

I once logged into the game to find a female f-me PC standing in the sleeping quarters naked. So my new half-elf asked her if she was waiting for a Jon, or if she just finished ...

She got offended  ???

Have played one. Have mudsexxor'd with . . . only one (1) other whore. I really do like 'em, though.

One thing I don't like is the volume of aides we have. I feel that if we had less aides, we would have more whores.

Here is what I think. The whole matter that surrounds making a whore PC is merely one of self-consciousness. If this is the issue, then that means one should just go on ahead and play one anyway. Anyone who wishes to shed away the self-consciousness should do this. Better yet, make it an ugly, dirty 'rinthi cawksucker and I think the whole issue will just dissipate. Completely.

The people will love you and admire your courage. ;)

P.S.: (Some time ago I heard of one male half-giant who was himself a 'rinthi whore. I adored it. Whoever did this has my full kudos !)

...actually, that's not true.  I do know why this is hard for people.  I just wish people would put a little more effort.
