It is lagging about 3-5 seconds to me and at least one other person IG currently.

Anything that's more than 1 line in length (My prompt, all says and tells, all forms of movement, and so on) take about 10 seconds to show up for me.
Anytime I'm receiving multiple messages in rapid succession, like in combat, it takes a good 10-20 seconds for any of my commands to even go through. Needless to say I am terrified of any situation that might require using flee.

IIRC:
Major cable providers are actively cutting down on the bandwidth they provide, because of something involving netflix, apparently.
Because of recent snowstorms, a number of services are made all the worse as well...or something?

The whole internet is fucking up. Google balloons are our only hope.

People keep bringing this up, and I know a lot of places are getting some storms lately. But snow/ice/rainstorms honestly shouldn't be affecting most peoples internet. Rarely there's power outages or broken components from water/ice damaging the cable boxes, but those sorts of issues are fairly easy to track down and fix and shouldn't persist for a very long time.

Actually it all depends on how good the cabling/telephone wires are in your neighborhood. I know for a fact from years of doing DSL support that weather CAN and DOES affect copper wires if they are not properly covered/shielded. So yes inclement weather can cause serious problems. I also know from having cable internet that one time a technician came to my house due to problems and found that the underground cable wires running to my house were improperly covered/shielded and I would have problems with packet loss whenever it would rain or the snow would melt. This took SEVERAL tech support calls to finally convince them that there was something wrong and it needed to be looked at. Probably took about a year for someone finally figure out what was going on.

I don't know how rural you live, but here in cow country  , the water does actually get into the lines and affect things.  Most of the cable and phone lines were laid before I was born.
