Constant Crashes?

Started by John, February 12, 2004, 02:12:14 AM

Just wondering, but every time I look at the homepage for the past day or so it's been having "the game has been running for 3 hours" or something very low like that.

So any reason it's been crashing so often?

CRASH!!! DAMNIT!

I was hoping it wasn't just me.

Untrue.

You see a large black form descending from the sky, heading towards Allanak.

You see a large explosion in the south.

Everyone drops dead as Tektolnes defiles the -world- to slay the Dragon.

Armageddon is CLOSED.

Except me. I remember every death. And I am coming for you bastards.

Then how are we gonna play Arm again in the future?  ::)

Mirror universe. Instead of Tek killing everyone to rid himself of the dragon, he and Muk Utep team up like old pals and sacrifice themselves for the Greater Good. Using the power of teamwork and believing in themselves, they manage to defeat the evil threat. The explosion of love that they use to kill the Dragon covers Zalanthas in life and water, and the desert is no more.

Later, we all gather 'round the campfire and sing Kumbaya.

Why does the game always seem to crash when you buy something expensive?  :'(

I say praise the crashes. Keeps the damn weather at bay.

Or when you're handling book objects. Ouch.

Not a problem most of us have, thankfully  ;D

But yeah, seems every time the game crashes my character has either just bought something that cleaned out their bank account, or they've given said object to a different character to let them look at it.  :'(

My God RGS is right, the longer we go without a good crashing, the more the sandstorms just never seem to end.

And then this one time, in sand camp?  We were in the dunes and this big wind came and picked us up and blew us into this house, was made all of wood!  And there was food all around and the beds were really strange and there were these furry beasts that talked!  And we didn't even have any spice, but it was still just right.

A brightly painted, blue argosy crashes into a weathered stone wall.

Since the 11th of January, 2006, we've had a very fast memory leak.  As of the middle of last week, according to my profiling, this memory-leak has been entirely closed.  It was the primary source of mud crashes over the last couple of years.

We should be a lot less crashy.  I'll start profiling the weather to see if it is trending badly over the longer uptimes.
