I think it would be really cool if the coded bards in taverns periodically sang their tunes directly to PCs....

Yep yep....the rugged, krath-haired man is the mortal enemy of the lowly, sunken-eyed woman...

Gesturing from the rugged, krath-haired man to the lowly, sunken-eyed woman, a loopy, crown-braided bard sings, in sirihish:
         "And then they kissed and made up and everyone had babies!"

The regged, krath-haired man snarls and pulls out a three cord long bastard sword and leaps at the lowly-sunken-eyed woman..
