Locks, Picks & Lock Picking

There's a small update going out with today's maintenance that will impact those of you who enjoy working with locks. For a while now, there has been some unseen code that caused many picks to give double (and in some cases triple) the intended bonus. We've fixed this. The immediate impact will be that your PCs may find most locks considerably harder if you were using any of these picks (which is likely). ICly, you can consider that Nenyuk has done a lot of lock replacing across the city. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience, but the bonuses were so excessive that it was impossible for us to grade locks and security access across the city accurately. It also rendered the higher levels of pick skill of some classes almost entirely redundant.

This update is part of a broader, ongoing effort to ensure a range of places with varying levels of security across the game in a more balanced and controllable way.
