Sunslits should give a scan malus similar to face obscuring helmets.

It depends on the sunslits?  Some are made with gauze so that it can be seen through easily, just protective of the weather, same for shrouds.  Meanwhile helmets are blocks of chitin or bone that DO obstruct vision and cannot be seen through only through the slits made for the eyes.

Is this sunslits vs storm masks?

Most sunslits I know of are made of bone, ivory, or chitin and don't really mention a fabric to them (unless that was changed).

Versus storm masks which are usually sandcloth or another fabric which totally makes sense to be able to see through.

Masks are the Armageddon equivalent of Ed Hardy shirts.

gauze is absolutely more difficult to see through than nothing at all. helmets can obstruct peripheral vision but they wouldn't limit your ability to make out fine detail in the way that gauze would.

make them both cancel scan imo.
Refreshingly natural.
