Idea: Trap (not what you're thinking) Exit

Name could be changed, but 'alarm' didn't seem to fit either.

What/Why:

the purpose of this skill is solely to put something in a door or doorway so that a character can tell if someone has come into the room. this is very doable RL and putting some feathers in front of a door or a piece of papyrus in a door-hinge would be very easy to do.

Syntax:

trap (doorway) (object) (arrange description, same as using the arrange comand)

the other option would be to have pre-made ldescs for indoor/outdoor to avoid abuse, but i'm partial to letting players make the ldescs.

Description:

when someone goes through that doorway, the object loses it's ldesc and reverts to its normal dropped ldesc; or if the doorway has a door, when that door is opened, the object loses its ldesc.

this should be able to be foiled in some situations - if the exit has no door, someone flying in should be fine and not disturb it.

if the exit has a door and the person that opens it is sneaking, i would give a decent chance to notice it using watch/wisdom - not stop it, but notice that something fell out of the door. maybe give an incredibly small percent chance for master sneaks to actually stop it/replace it exactly like it was.
