I played a character that had its heart ripped out while my character was still alive, heart still beating.

My character fumbles for the still-beating heart weakly saying, "But... I need... that."

Big bad that is taking the still-beating heart from my character, chuckling darkly, says, "Not anymore."

My character, or more appropriately, my character's body continued to do things after the above event.
