CMUD vs MushClient Column Formatting

Hi all,

I recently was mudding from an iMac, so I wash using mushclient. Character equipment lists, the skills list, crafting lists all looked gorgeous and nice and lined up.

Just now started using CMUD again, and everything is indented funny. I've fiddled with fonts until I'm blue in the face - anyone have any idea what I need to turn on/turn off, to get these columned lists to display correctly?

Only help I've got here is that I use Mudlet for Mac and it works great.

+1 for Mudlet. I highly recommend it.

As for fixing CMUD, it does sound like it could be a font issue. Things being lined up correctly rely on monospaced fonts if your client doesn't force the font to be displayed as fixed-width. Have you tried using a monospaced font like Courier or Courier New?

(Not an exhaustive list, but here are some more if Courier/Courier New work but you don't like the look of them. They were just ones I'm sure your system will have by default. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_monospaced_typefaces.)

Edit: I tried it out, and it seemed to display properly with a monospace font. To set the font, you want to go to Options -> Font, and then under Global Styles and then under Sessions, click on Default session text, and change the font there, and click Apply. I picked Consolas in the example, because I like the look of that better than Courier.

It was, in fact, a font issue - had (and still have) no idea what mono spacing is other than exactly what it sounds like, but that worked! Thank you all.
