Your Favorite Character

Started by Cind, July 11, 2020, 02:44:54 AM

I haven't played in a while, and am probably behind in a game like ours with regards to what's happening, but I kind of wanted to ask something different---- which characters have you made for yourself that are your favorite character, and why?

My one strength in a game like ours is story. I can do absolutely nothing with my time besides pay coffin rent (anyone who has played Sindome will know what coffin rent actually is: nonexistent rent on a tiny room for new foreigners) and tell a story to people in some way.

My first character with any real story was actually Dooley--- a woman from Tuluk before the gates closed, but after the Great Deluge, who killed her arsonist mother, with neither her nor her mother being legal criminals, or even 'important' members of society, like members of a bardic circle. They were both human, she dressed normally for a Tuluki commoner which literally just means 'less clothes than Allanak and prints of animals and plants' and because she was afraid of being like her mother--- something I never actually revealed while playing her--- she ran away from Tuluk as far as she knew how to get, Red Storm. She stayed in Red Storm for a month, sewing and feeling bad about killing her mother. Before that, she moved right through Luir's, not stopping, and ended up in Allanak for a while, not really for a real reason other than to be in Allanak as a Tuluki, back when that was a normal ass thing for foreigners to do, to visit a foreign city. One Tuluki recognized my clothing, a midget, and smiled with a normal Tuluki smile, where, you know, the one expression they really have is the fact that every Tuluki smiles like a loon. When they are not smiling, they are either alone or something is actually really wrong with the situation.

She then moved on to Storm after that and did cloth sewing for a month. I enjoyed playing her, but it was my first rough draft of a real story, at all. The first character I ever made that did something else besides, 'I kill shit/have kids/make money for a living.' Her name was Dooley, if anyone actually remembers. The 'yellow-eyed woman' or something like that, although, honestly, her eyes were more like 'honey pale' some kind of pale brown.

I made two mistakes with her that were intentional attempts to tell people I was a Tuluki of the time. I openly made friends with a gemmed witch whose black gem was clearly visible. I then met a woman who was obviously a rogue, but my character didn't know. She wanted... 'skulls' and we were sitting in Red Storm's tavern, the Eye. Okay, maybe things are different now, but I went ahead and somehow got ahold of a bunch of human skulls. I don't remember how, and she paid me not that very much for the object of 'a human skull' at all, which is something I think I now remember, as items I bought from someone else, that I as a player knew at the time could be made into spell ingredients, because some spells -require- an ingredient, and its only one ingredient.

Yep--- a born and bred Tuluki commoner, from a city that casts out open witches with actual death, was afraid she was just like her mother, who burned down whole buildings with fire, to the point where she pushed over an enormous cabinet onto her mother's head, so heavily that she died, because -she had to check.- After that, she left Tuluk (and this is where I actually came out of chargen, in obviously Tuluki clothing, like the orange cloak with depictions of ginka vines on it) and she freaked out as she left Tuluk, getting an escort to Allanak, who rested their mounts or something, and then moving down to Storm. Her room, her apartment--- scared everyone that saw it. Because she smeared blood on the walls, and left animal bones in certain arrays within the room itself--- expecting everyone's apartment to be at least something like hers. She never changed, with the command to arrange items in the room, anything about this apartment, and the first man who saw the apartment, a friend of hers only, never entered it again, despite the fact that psychopaths are prominent at least to some extent in Armageddon, and he was her boss in a small trading group that she didn't actually know much of--- and, unusually for me, on purpose--- never asked. Man was thought to be immortal, could handle anything, apparently died to a tarantula ambush in a place he should have known they were. That is how I learned that stories end quickly and tragically and strangely, because honestly, that happened after my death, and honestly, when a trading group falls apart, which it did -right- after I left, the leader often kills or suicides themselves, and honestly, I kind of know it was my fault, despite the fact that I actually made a cool character for once.

Later on in this thread I'll talk about Dayna, my crazy water witch who had to stay in the water temple for two of our weeks because she couldn't handle her magic, the smart 'naki who discovered on her own the Rule of Nines (a math fact that is easy to look up) and maybe a couple of others, like Gala, a beautiful yet ugly half-gith woman because, honestly, if you're asking someone to let you make a half-gith with a normal human template going on, they probably know less about the game than you do as a player, which does happen sometimes, and its normal.

While I'm at it, another one is Pasheen.

Silteye was her brother, and I never met the eldest brother, who was always on a silt skimmer and never played at peaktime, which I assume to mean, for some damn reason, that Silteye could meet him and I couldn't, as a family rolecall of three people. This was back when I played at peaktime for a chance to play with Silteye, which even happened a few times. She was a ranger/tailor, and had planned, like Silteye and the other brother, to play, probably, in Storm, until the end of time. Also, her nickname was Pearl, Silteye's crazy sister, who was a calm form of crazy, that rarely blurted out things like the moon was dripping red and surrounded by gortoks--- she didn't actually say these things much outside of the Byn, which is where Silteye took her with him to live, although she simply volunteered in order to be near him. See, the old guild ranger is much like scout and stalker--- you can collect bugs in the wilderness to eat. I was perfectly fine, therefore, as both a tailor and some sort of low-edge scout in Storm. I could act sane around many people, and probably only felt comfortable letting out my crazy when Silteye was near. He actually lost the eye in a tavern fight--- some idiot threw a mug at his eye as a child, and me and him stole food from the tavern as children in order to survive, because our father beat us if we were late to go home, although that was kind of a foolish one that Silteye might have put in our biograph, because everyone who plays this game knows that activity that isn't sexual continues into the night sometimes. Honestly, I know the player behind the controls that was him wasn't foolish--- it was just some funny attempt at making us look like a dysfunctional real-world family, because I remember that's what it looked like to me. Honestly... it wasn't the beating at night, which is probably some sexual thing in a game that obviously doesn't mind identical twins kissing on the street. It was the coming home late every day part. Was the other brother new to the game? Who knows, I sure wouldn't be able to get back on a skimmer before the gates of Storm closed for the night, if they closed at all.

I left out the interesting part--- Pearl's death. Actually, I can't talk about that, although I can mention at this point that Silteye, who became a sarge in the Byn after her death, received a piece of gold in a legal way and people made sure to mention around a little bit that he owned a piece of -gold- for the shit that happened in the event of my death.

I'll go. I remember playing with Pasheen/Pearl, she was certainly memorable, add Silteye in and you get characters that anyone swirling about at that time probably brushed against. Dooley sounds awfully familiar too...

I have played a lot of minions, background characters, and guy who made you a sword once. But my favourite character was one of my very first.

His name was Aldarn, I started him as Generic Ranger #23, he had a massive burn scar over nearly half his face that made him quite self-conscious, a citizen of Allanak, he found himself hunting and working in the small Pseudo-Tuluk of Freil's many years ago.

There he fell in with a Kadian Merchant Ysania and her mate Eldor, he joined the fledgling Kadian Guard as a hunter and eventually worked his way up to Sergeant, under the then Lieutenant Eldor, and became a monster with a pair of warhammers, and a ghost with a longbow, as his mentor Eldor had taught him. He never shook the world, but he got to stand as a good minion around some events, and he became a confidante of his employers and did his duty and more. He got rid of problems, delivered mysterious packages, and was generally a great deal of fun.

He also had one of both my favourite and least favourite scenes I have played out in Armageddon. Aldarn had hired a pretty young half-elf (Pen...Penelope?) into the hunters (The Kadians did then, sometimes) and had, at least in private, grown quite fond of her over time. She was an artist, and learnt to tattoo, and she completed my only (to date) custom tattoo, a mantis that she inked over Aldarn's scar tissue on his face.
One day, while hunting near the Grey, the terrible fear of those times occurred, a halfling spear flew in from the north, hit Pen and she took a dose of terradin. In those days...cures were a close held secret and there was no known terradin cure in the circles Aldarn ran in, he escaped with her, took her back to the Kadian compound, and she slowly died in a Kadian stable while Aldarn held her and couldn't bring himself to end her suffering (Then he went and killed a bunch of halflings, against his orders)

Not long after that, I joined the Navy. IC, Aldarn left Kadius and went on a pilgrimage, somewhere. A year or so later, I came back for a while to Allanak, Ysania saw him and was worried about what he might say in her new life (I suppose) and a Templar picked Aldarn up. It was pretty clear what was about to happen. But he went with that Templar, got a nice walk through the gardens, the templar told him it was Ysania and Iakovitzes and then he was half-gianted.

It was still a pretty good life, and death.

I want to tell about a single one more--- Dayna.

Dayna was a 'naki native whose actual mother, a human, and Dayna was obviously human if not anything else, was befriended while obviously pregnant with her and the dwarf, a woman, killed the mother when Dayna was born and took her away to raise. For the next ten years, the dwarven mother killed people on what was probably an altar to her own focus at all, because it always happened in the same apartment for one hundred people, and Dayna guarded outside the door, making sure people didn't bother her. Honestly--- there's always a death cry when something dies from the other room or some such, and I made sure not to mention that in the first bio, the one where anything can happen.

On the one hundredth death, Dayna realized after half an hour that her mother hadn't come back out, and she couldn't hear any noise from inside the apartment, a one-room apartment obviously--- she ran away. She simply never walked on that invisible street again. In fact, she didn't do a damn thing when I took her out of chargen, except start in the Gaj and go into the Byn, never leaving the Byn itself. One weird thing that happened was that I lost a sparring match to a guy with a hatchet, and he stepped into the ring, probably stepped out of it because that's how sparring rings are, right next to me far off on the floor--- and started trying to hack at my head, hitting me once or twice in the head. The sarge told him off and he smirked and ran off. While I understand people like to play dangerously, doing that in front of a sarge literally showed that he lacked discipline and the ability to understand the extent of a damn sparring ring's radius. It is things like this that prevent me from replying to people online more than I really need to. I simply enjoy telling my Zalanthan stories, and like hearing what people have to say about their own, especially things about the game I never really understood, including fighting and poison. Because, honestly, half of us are out of our minds when we say things online, including this forum. That's part of the reason I haven't spent time on the gdb in a while.

One thing I'm especially proud of is the fact that Dayna was taught twice by a man while strongly resembles Amon, someone we all know if you've played during my time, like maybe the ten years that ended a couple of freaking years ago, he taught her shield use twice, and we trained with it anyway. Dayna's best strength was definitely shield use. And she left the Byn anyway, to make some kind of normal ass trash life collecting sid outside the Byn, because everyone knows that runners make the soup, clean the latrine, and spar, and once you're a trooper, you actually have to leave the compound.

What actually happened to make this sociopathic psychopathic person who wanted nothing else in life but a friend that didn't need to understand her (because she made three of the -wrong- friends and they tended to die horribly off-screen) was the fact that on her first ever contract, a trip to a tarantula nest that she didn't need to make because she could have fucking quit out at any time, I gave her a nap in the common room, and a dream, of her dwarven mother, standing there at the west gates, pointing outwards in the direction of her only contract, and shaking her head slowly, making sure that Dayna knew that such a thing was a bad idea. And Dayna went anyway, because I was in control, and knew that if anyone could use (water spell) at the level of apprentice in shield use, Dayna would have been unstoppable as hell, if she actually cared enough about the naturally-occurring, self-destructive idiots in the city to defend them with this spell, a spell I could have eventually as a classic water witch before magic got chopped up. Despite deeply respecting the fact that her dwarven mother fulfilled her horrible focus anyway (and the next focus was to kill five hundred people) she went to the contract anyway. She doesn't care about a goddamn thing if she went to that contract anyway. She simply cares about the fact that, despite the fact that her mother should have been caught on victim five or such, she was actually caught on victim ninety-nine, almost completing the most difficult focus I have ever thought of. It was supposed to be a hundred. And her mother would know her well enough, might as well have been her real mother if she had even done that, not to give her such a dream, knowing that such a gift of a dream from Drov would be pointless if people believed the dream in a religion-free state, and Dayna just fucking did it anyway. She was a sociopath, a psycopath, didn't care about a goddamn thing, never used the think command about half of these things despite the last part being obvious to anyone who has been a mother to such a child, and you know why she attempted to sacrifice herself to the goddamn forest like in the movie Origin: Spirits of the Past, a movie I'm sure no one has ever fucking watched because its about a creepy wilderness (forest actually) that wants to consume people?

She was loyal to the Byn and left it in order to become a gemmed witch, which aren't allowed in the Byn. Some idiot mul who probably still wonders to this day why he couldn't kidnap her, because someone bothered to tell me that clubs aren't much good for anything but kidnapping people (? I sure am weak to fucking clubs) and with apprentice shield use against a crazed mul everyone fears, she blocked him with her shield and he -stayed inside the east city gates attempting to kill her- (this is why I think even our community, some members, are stupid, because I am stupid too. I simply love to tell a story.) Yep. She wanted the water witch spell, something I knew and she didn't, which benefits greatly as fuck, probably in a story way alone, from the skill shield use. She was a human, and had a Focus. She was a classic sociopath who didn't care about anyone, not even telling people what her shit was about, and a classic psychopath, who wants to see the world burn, like the Joker in The Dark Knight. All she loved, the only things she openly appreciated besides her shield, was everyone she had been close to. And the only decent person at all she had been close to was her mom.

I wrote a few bios while waiting to play that I'd like to share with you, as I don't have the patience after a long break to play them myself: rinthis! I don't even play rinthis that much, but honestly, take a single sentence from these and no one can claim you stole ideas from anyone.

miscreant/jeweler random stats at all
Jul
This woman has black hair that angles straight down, with rough, choppy edges and a silvery sheen. She has lavender eyes in a fairly normal saturation for an elf's eyes-- bright and beautiful. Her figure is minimal, with slighty large breasts and behind, and not much in the way of curves. She is short for her race, averaging perhaps six feet in height. Her legs are fairly long, suggesting a genetic history of running.
Jul is a rinthi elf who has never left the rinth before. She loves nothing more than to have a dwarven focus, which she strays from from time to time, knowing, indeed, that she is elf. The current dwarven focus, is this--- she must figure out how to sneak and hide perfectly, acting like a damn foreign elf the -whole time,- who doesn't actually know yet how to sneak around, while slowly learning how to sneak over to Folley's, if she can even find the damn place with how easy she used to be able to find it--- and simply stand within, listening to conversations she doesn't need to understand, as an elf who simply 'steals food for a living.' Conversations she won't disclose to anyone, use for a damn thing. She simply wants to know what the damn humans in an easy to find tavern in the western half are even talking about there. And she's elf enough to know if they can even see her stealing their information for no reason in there.

Ghost artisan/linguist random stats at all
This male is a bit off-putting, with several front teeth missing and skin a bit too pale to have regularly seen the sun. At first glance he looks human completely, but his ears are so pointed, one might even wonder if he sharpened them on purpose himself. His hair is black and shiny, although matted from lack of grooming, and his eyes are a fairly inconspicuous pale blue, in a watery shade. They show a faintly violet color, more at the bottom than at the top, for some reason. He has many scars about his upper and lower arms, suggesting more of a prey lifestyle than a predator. Honestly, if one looks at the number of scars for more than a few seconds, and the lack of scars in other places on his body, one might wonder why he is still alive.
Ghost is a man who has forgotten his entire past, and doesn't really have more than one thing in mind. He has a drop of elvish blood in his veins, which shows clearly in his eyes, in his own mind. He feels far more human than elf, and has one goal in life: to figure out, somehow, how to sneak past the two weird guards he's sure are still guarding the eastern entrance to the rinth, for some reason, although neither are human, and to dive into the sewers, make it past the plague rats undetected, pick up the enormous white mushroom that's always sitting in the mushroom place--- and leave it in the Gaj, undetectable the whole way. Repeatedly, often. He wishes to become an expert on how often the mushroom grows back. He knows damn well a bit of him is elf for even wanting this weird self-killing shit, but honestly, he's not sure who his father is, either.

the black and white-eyed woman Spear
artisan/bard
This human woman is small for her race, although not tiny, and her most distinctive feature is that her left eye is black, and her right eye is white. Her hair is white and roughly chopped at random inches within each other, as though she cut it haphazardly with a knife, or at least poor aim. She has a slight, boyish figure, with a feminine silhouette, and a single tattoo on her left ring finger of a golden-colored band, wavy like the silt sea at high tide.
She looks heavily pregnant, enough to sit down for long periods at a time.
Spear is an Allanaki citizen who is deeply devoted to the Highlord and loves to sit in empty taverns all day long. She has a fairly small family of about fifteen people, seven of whom are her kids. She is always generally pregnant, wanting nothing more out of life than to have her mates' children. The other eight are her mates--- two men, six women. The women take care of the kids, while she learns information for them in taverns, as they are in hiding for reasons she doesn't understand. One man is Alu, a sawbones for the Byn, and one is Bri, a witch of House Oash. She doesn't talk about Bri, and gets fairly offended if someone even mentions him--- without knowing her well first, because she doesn't talk about the fact that she has a witch mate, for obvious reasons. Honestly--- her most interesting moments are dreaming of a Tuluk full of strange people who don't remember where they are from. She knows the old stories, but distinctly remembers being born in Allanak.

---------------------------------------------------

You know why I consider all three rinthis?

I haven't played in so long in a game that changes so rapidly (probably about eight months now) that anything that looks off in terms of world culture is probably from December or earlier. Also, the last one? We all know for a damn fact that something truly horrifying happened in Tuluk that made a very stupid staffer at all decide to -completely- close the best city we had, the star in the sky, Tuluk. I'm on my last ban, if I am banned for writing this, its probably them. I got banned for simply being stupid so many times, that I am on my last ban. I am leaving this post as inspiration for rinthis--- because we all know that rinthis are the walking dead, ghosts. That is what the last two are, the last one being quite obvious. Because a people like the rinthis are nothing, if not pregnant. Why the hell aren't all rinthi women deciding to look pregnant? People who know better in a society like ours, targets pregnant women in the game, something valued so highly all over the world that no one should be disparaging it, what the fuck, honestly. Anyone attempting to make fun of the last one for 'being too stupid to survive' as a rinthi woman always -wanting- to be pregnant and having more than one man should be banned themselves for trying, very obviously, to break our precious game.

I've had a lot of short lived characters that I feel had potential if it weren't for my chronic restarter syndrome or just plain stupid risk taking. I can't look back without feeling a little sad.

All from years ago but I've had three that I'd sometimes think of even while on break. Arm just scratches that D&D RP itch for me.

Kaen - an Oashi Whiran/spymaster. Had a fantastic noble boss in Lesavius Oash and we got up to some crazy shit. We stole artifacts from the templarate through complicated schemes where Lesavius almost died to an animated gith. We stole a bunch of stuff from the Plainsman including a book which led to a change in code on the availability of [redacted]. Died once after smuggling in spice and ODing on just a pinch or two, actually got rezzed since it was a bug. Ended up getting killed by staff in an amazing way by [redacted] just before the Copper War.

Tal - a hidden breed who worked for Kurac. Not influential outside a small circle with only about 9 days played but was probably the character I've played with the most personality. My favorite go-to concept is Zalanthan hillbilly in the north and he was the best of the bunch. I had a -lot- of fun with his internal thought process as I tried my best to play to the half-elf docs.

Faithful Lord Dalen Dasari -  By far my most active PC in getting things like RPTs and clan leadership things done. Was a lot of work and I got lucky that there was a really solid group of players in Tuluk at the time. Died too early with about 30 days played but that was probably good for me in RL, I started a master's degree a few months after he died and would have had to store him anyways.

July 31, 2020, 10:39:03 AM #7 Last Edit: July 31, 2020, 12:11:15 PM by Fredd
Lohar- Short, fat, hairless Tenneshi Aide. Founder of the Tenneshi Sweepers. And was Lord Dragean's right hand for a long while.  He was so trusted by Dragean he could speak for him in meetings, and often made deals on the Lords behalf, without him ever knowing.

Some fun Scenes i remember from Lohar: Assassinating someone in an apartment with another sweeper, burning the body, and tossing burnt chunks of meat down to starving peasants who ate it. Not sure what staff helped, but that was fun.

Every now and Again Sweepers would be sent to Allanak to do some light spying. I have a couple fond memories of this like stealing a Borsail house knife for Dragean to cut spice with.

His assassination scene was really fun. He knew if he attended the meeting with the Akai, they would kill him. The Akai had been thorns in the Sweepers sides for years. And he knew the only way they could be brought under heel, would be for them to royally screw up. Like by getting caught assassinating a Nobles Right Hand. I forget what the position was called. So Lohar got into one of his students mind, and told them what was going to happen. And that if his link faded, to immediately report his assassination to their lord. They killed him, and, his plan worked. He even had a statue erected to him outside the Akai's building.

Sergeant Guaril (Gore): This guy was a lot of fun. I had 0 expectations to become leadership with him. I was fresh off a break, and joined the Byn to relearn the commands. He had just made trooper, like a rl week, if that, before he made sergeant. His sergeant died on a contract, and Gore was the one who yelled for people to fall in, got them out, and made sure people got paid. There was like 2 people ahead of him time wise for sergeant, but they gave it to him right there. The funny thing about this, for a LONG TIME, I had no idea how to get anywhere in the known, but I was in change of getting people there. my trick was to make someone scout for us, who knew the way ;)

People often wondered how gore brought in so much money, and why his deposits into the clan bank were so large. The answer is that he never kept coin from contracts, he put his share into the Byn account, and just bought anything he needed with company funds. I kept staff updated about this in reports. And I got this idea from old Lt. Raul of the Byn. Mixed with being Lover to a Salarri family member, this meant he didn't need anything, and had all the coin he needed to throw around and make the Byn look good. Ie: I once used about everything in the account to buy a super expensive suit of armor in an auction, and publically gift it to a templar, therefore, buying himself a templar.  And this all worked, until I picked a dumb political fight with Kadius and flubbed the whole thing. At the time I was upset, but in hindsight, well played Emsy Kadius, Well played.

I remember throwing parties that were Byn only, fighting people in the Gaj for sitting at the Byn table, and constantly coming up with excuses for adventure. I don't know what staff Ate Gore with that sandworm, but that was a FUN scene to talk about. Funny thing is, that's not even my first leader that was eaten, I once had a Northern Kadian that was swallowed whole, and spit out by a mek. And no, that's not how he died. Gore was VERY VERY racist against elves up until his later years, where he had learned to more or less get over his racism. However learning lessons don't erase past racism. And eventually he was killed by Delf NPC's, after he left the Byn.

edit: Oh, one more fun moment. I remember recruiting this Half elf girl. And IMMEDIATELY taking her out on a contract. I think she was a tailor by trade. Anyways, right as we go into this gith hole I tell her "Remember your training, and you'll be fine." and she goes "I have no training." Then she died.

It's beautiful

Jinx (Ox to almost everyone) :- Short Desc: the scarred dread-locked man

Jinx was one of my first PC's, and partly the reason I've been playing on and off for over a decade now. He was recruited into Winrothol by Raleris (who made this role worth playing), and fell in love (unrequited) with a slave called Lillian. Ended up as a Corporal (in standing) of the Winrothol House Guard, before dying to a tembo of all things.

Hawk: Short Desc: the feather braided, sinewy elf

Hawk was another highlight of mine, an Akei, who had several fun encounters with wayward hunters, Infiltrated Tyn Dashara (this lead to some account notes) and eventually died at the hands of 'Loonsh so I could take my first sponsored role as a 'Byn Sarge. All in one day!

Dart:- Short Desc: the leather-skinned half-giant

This hulking half-giant's frame is covered with scars, from bite, blade, and
claw, from his shaven, leathery dome to his branch-thick fingers.  His head,
hairless and shaven, boasts a missing right ear and a squashed, flattened
nose.  Either side are a pair of saucer-sized jade eyes, and his lips are
thick and cracked.   A pair of shoulders, several cords across, lead to two
thick arms, ending in fingers thick as young branches.  His barrel chest and
rotund stomach give the impression of two large storage barrels balancing on
each other, supported by a pair of thick legs and heavy feet.

My first HG after achieving the karma to play one. My god I loved Dart ('Runt' to one particular HG) He joined the Fist, left the fist, died to a Lyksean warband (I forget why exactly, I know a Templar was involved) and carried the dead bodies of his two best buddies around for a full day after they died honestly thinking the world was over. he was a true HG, and probably the one that gave me my love for playing this particular race.

Koppi Kadius:- Short Desc: the large, golden-maned male

Ahh Koppi and Koppi's Kiyets (yes, I actually tried to make that a thing) (Italis, Cerys, wherever you are, I thank you for Koppi). Siamaca, Maristen, Biscuits (Oh Biscuits you sweet, sweet thing you), Mar, so many others made this role worthwhile. Koppi made things happen, He hired, he fired, he got people killed (so many dead recruits) He got asked to stop hiring because he was doing too well. He had his own squad of HG bruisers.
I think at one point I had a full compliment of both northern and southern hunters, which was pretty cool. Koppi was my first real forray into a sponsored role (My Byn sarge lasted two days played and then led his squad into the silt sea during a storm) and I tried to play him to the hilt, I wanted things to happen around him, and I usually managed to make something happen (not always as intended, I think)

His life goal was to hunt every dangerous beast in the known, and have them as trophies (a goal that led to many deaths, but thankfully, never his). He spent a stupid amount of coins on masterwork skinning knives, defended Tuluk against Bahamut attacks so many times, and spent a lot of time boasting how awesome he was, while not really doing anything himself. He wheeled and dealed with the Templarate as every good Kadian should, and never really delivered. He got married, had kids,

I think his highlight for me personally was the killing of one stump. Mhornar buddy, I can't remember if I ever sent you them, but Kudos for that scene, and all involved. I never did figure out if you were innocent or not. Mhornar was accused of thievery, so after having taken Mhornar's own mace, Koppi proceeded to torture a confession (that never actually came) from the light-fingered stump. When a confession didn't come, Koppi gave Mhornar a shield (that he could barely hold due to maced hands) and proceeded to beat him to death in front of three witnesses as a warning. This was my first ever PK, and dear god, it felt good sending in that report.

All in all, Koppi was a self-involved asshole, but he did love his little group of Hunters and I think I was doing clan RPT's at least once a week, so things were pretty fun.

Sadly, due to RL issues, I had to store Koppi and couldn't give him the glorious death he deserved as the captain of a Kadian owned silt-skimmer in search of pearls and other valuables.

There are others, but these would probably be my personal favourites.

This is one of mine that I enjoyed, that was killed off too soon:

Tandy
Short Desc: the shaggy-haired youth

Description:
Seemingly always covered in a bit of dirt, whether in his hair or in the
creases in his apparel, this youthful human stands short for his race,
approximately four cords in height.  His face is round, with freckles and
large brownish coloured eyes, a small nose and a thin mouth.  He has a
figure that is lean and wispy, muscles not fully defined on his
undernourished frame.  His hair is shaggy and long, brown in colour, and
covers his round ears just so.

Initial Background : Apr 29, 2006
It was early afternoon on Barani, the 230th day of the Descending Sun
In the Year of Ruk's Defiance, year 26 of the 21st Age

Tandy grew up in Tuluk, and has never travelled far outside the city,
thus never being to Luir's Outpost, even.  Tandy had the typical poor
upbringing in a large family, with parents striving and failing to provide
for their large family.  Tandy started to fend for himself, stealing
whatever he could, and using his mind to think of quick schemes as quickly
as his head jerks to the side to watch a cute girl.  He loves to joke
around, prefering a quick laugh to a long discussion.  He loves the city of
Tuluk and enjoys it so.  He's got a few things in mind to make a few coins,
and he'll try and make a lot of friends on the way.  That's his goal, and
that is what he wants.  Also, he doesn't mind killing when the need arises,
and he won't bother with it much.

The Thief's Union Scam, Introduction : May 20, 2006
It was before dawn on Waleuk, the 105th day of the Ascending Sun
In the Year of Ruk's Defiance, year 26 of the 21st Age

I was told of this scam by a spiced out old fiend near the Tooth. I filled in
the rest. This scam works best when many many people are 'in' on it. It can
quickly overtake villages, and even an entire city-state. They key to starting
it up is to not belong to it, because when you belong to it, people will look to
you and say that you are it.
Okay, let's start over. The Thief's Union does not exist, yet you must keep
refering to it like it does. Pretend you need to contact them. Pretend you need
to hire them to do something for you. Pretend that they stole something from you
and you want to pay them to get it back. Pretend that you want to purchase some
ticket or insurance from them. And tell everybody about them. Every single
person.
If you convince enough people that The Thief's Union exists, then it reaches a
critical point where -other- people will be convinced that it exists. At that
point, for all purposes, it exists.
Enough of the theory behind it. We invent a group, and convince everyone it
exists, and then it invents itself. That's the basics of this scam. Now, onto
the fine details and the coin generating aspects.

The Thief's Union, Part One : May 29, 2006
It was late afternoon on Terrin, the 13th day of the Descending Sun
In the Year of Whira's Reverence, year 27 of the 21st Age

The first step is to tell everybody about The Thief's Union.  Make sure
people know of it.  Start blaming stolen items on them.  Start saying that
you've purchased insurance from them.  You will know when you've reached the
next point, when people start telling other people about The Thief's Union.
Next, become The Thief's Union.  Don't be the founding member, and always
refer to others with you.  The basic scam is an insurance scam.  Have a
small token of some sort, like a pressed flower, and start selling it for a
very low price.  Around thirty or forty coins or so.  Something that people
are willing to give up easily, without having to have thugs shake them down.
Tell your buyers of insurance that they must wear their token, their flower,
in their hair, so that other members of The Thief's Union will know they
have paid their dues, and they have protection.  Flowers are excellent,
because they fall apart after being worn around for a while.  And when the
next month rolls around, you have to change the flower type.  Keep it
changing, that way nobody can catch on and regulate which flower is the
insurance token for which month.  Do this for a while, and make sure people
enjoy it.  It should be fun and also entertaining.  People are willing to
pay forty coins for a flower, as long as they believe they are protected
from other thieves.  And if someone doesn't pay, then you steal from them,
and plant a token on them.  Very simple.  It should be fun.  Laugh.

Enlisted for Awesomeness : Jun 04, 2006
It was late at night on Abid, the 113th day of the Descending Sun
In the Year of Whira's Reverence, year 27 of the 21st Age

Being enlisted into the Tuluk army as a Conscript.  My duty for the city.
A tattoo across my face.  It reminds me how many stupid people there are in
this city.  Training is interesting, and combines a lot of factors.
Multiple enemies, and such.  Silas and Emokir have been paired up with me.
They are quite smart themselves, and I like the match.  Sahna, on the
otherhand, is really annoying and stupid, and whiney.  Getting to know a lot
of the others in the group.  I'm also liking combat, which is strange.  I
shouldn't be this good at it.  I should be a leader.  I should be smarter
than I am.  I need to train to be smarter.  Strength and endurance can wait.
It's brains and speed that I need.

Somehow connected to everyone : Jun 16, 2006
It was before dawn on Cingel, the 70th day of the Low Sun
In the Year of Whira's Reverence, year 27 of the 21st Age

I have become connected with one of the Faithful.  I work for her.  A lot
of people work for her.  One is Silas, a hunter, with drov-colored-skin.  He
is interesting, however, it seems our only connection with each other is the
Faithful.  We both enlisted with the Jihae, and trained together.  Another
is Emokir, a tawny, sun-darkened lad.  I don't know much, and aren't really
friends, but I trust him.  Sahna is another, she's florid, horta-haired
maiden.  She's a bit...        Slow for a bard.  We're all connected,
somehow.  I don't know why, though.  I've been telling almost everyone I
meet about The Thief's Union.  It's growing.  Those three are going to help
me, or, at least, define it with me.  They may be members, I don't know.  I
don't like any of them, besides Silas.  I don't know what is in the plan,
but we're all together, and we should trust each other.

Giving up the rights to an idea : Jun 24, 2006
It was late afternoon on Detal, the 198th day of the Low Sun
In the Year of Whira's Reverence, year 27 of the 21st Age

I've brought a bard named Yhaty into this group of registered thieves.  I
told him he can do whatever he wants with it, as long as he keeps it
respectful.  Respectful is something that hasn't been spoken to, at large.
What is respectful?  My idea is stealing from someone who can afford to buy
it back.  That's a tricky situation, because a lot of people can't afford to
buy it back, which means our potential targets just got dramatically
reduced.  What about the Chosen?  The Faithful?  Are they untouchable to the
group of thieves?  To the union of thieves?  I am going to say no, and
believe no.  Our licence allows us the most artful of thefts.  And nobody
notices the most artful, unless you make it dramatic.  Another bard, Sahna,
is in with the group.  She's wanting to be a mouthpiece for it.  I'm okay
with that.  I just hope she knows the point of the group.  We should control
all the thefts in the city, and be able to moderate it, and if someone wants
to purchase an item that was stolen from them, -back-, they should be able
to.  We should be hired to do thefts, and deliever the goods at a reasonable
time.  We shouldn't be killers and fakers and failures.  We should be proud.
That's what I want.

Conscriptions and War : Jul 03, 2006
It was dusk on Ocandra, the 111th day of the Ascending Sun
In the Year of Whira's Reverence, year 27 of the 21st Age

I want to do anything for my city, so when they asked for people to be
conscripted into the army, I signed up.  A lot of us signed up.  We had some
training, and then we shipped out to a mine, in the middle of the wastes.
They said it was a metal mine.  Then, Allanak brought its forces here.  And
the storms went on.  And we waited.  Silas was the first to die.  A tembo
bit his throat out on the way here.  It was horrible.  Then others died, and
some got lost in the sands.  Sahna had an arrow through her eye, and she
died instantly.  War has killed everyone I knew, but has also brought people
I didn't know together.  I believe I'm being trusted more, by the Faithful.
I'm smaller than everyone here, so they keep me behind and make me do
favours.  Hopefully, when we get back, I can go full steam with the
Faithful's full support with my gang I want to form.  Hopefully, if I
survive.

War, and Responsibility : Jul 12, 2006
It was dusk on Nekrete, the 27th day of the Descending Sun
In the Year of Dragon's Agitation, year 28 of the 21st Age

I've returned to the Ivory, and have helped in the recruitment effort.  I
have not been on the front lines long.  I don't think I will go back there.
It's strange, but people think I'm a Private in the Legion.  Private Tandy,
they call me.  And then, they complain to me about everything.  About
Southerns hunting up here.  About people leading Raptors to the gates.
About trying to locate the location of the Camp for their own dirty deeds.
It's so strange, but I don't want anything to do with that.  All this, talk
behind people's back.  And war.  I want to create this group of thieves and
make them all come together, and be able to come and go as they please, as
parttime members or full members.  I might need to change things or make it
more in depth.  I have to think about this Union.

The War is Over! : Jul 21, 2006
It was high sun on Waleuk, the 171st day of the Descending Sun
In the Year of Dragon's Agitation, year 28 of the 21st Age

So, the war is over now.  The army has come back, and we were victorius.
I don't know what the Faithful will do with me.  I survived, and I helped.
Will there be a nice reward?  Can I go with full force with my group?  I
don't know.  I do know that I'm alive, and a lot of friends are dead.  And I
miss them.  And Mae seems to like me.  But perhaps not.  I should find a
girl who will join me in my group.  One who will play an excellent partner.

Death to a Salarri : Aug 07, 2006
It was dawn on Barani, the 208th day of the Low Sun
In the Year of Dragon's Agitation, year 28 of the 21st Age

I witnessed an event.  A Salarri Agent, Salarri Blood, condemened to
death by poison for being a traitor, dealing with magickers, having psionic
abilities, and planning harm to us.  Inquisitor Enuoli gave him the poison,
in front of a lot of people at the Sun King's Sanctuary It caused Chosen
Lord Zaqar to faint, and I was quick with reviving him.  The quickest one
there.  I saw one who said they were the voice of Muk Utep, the king.  So
much metal.  So much bronze, and copper.  I think that was the highlight of
my life.

The Thief's Union grows : Aug 07, 2006
It was early morning on Barani, the 208th day of the Low Sun
In the Year of Dragon's Agitation, year 28 of the 21st Age

Yhaty has been taking it far, and has recruited many.  He's an excellent
choice.  He is also aligned with House Tenneshi, and is wanting to align the
whole union with Tenneshi.  I disagree with that.  It shouldn't align itself
with any house, or any others, except the Templarment.  Timney was a union
bard, who was more of a criminal than an artist in his skill.  He would kill
people in the streets and take their coin, so I've heard.  He was murdered,
and I think that was for the best.  It's growing, and I'm happy.  Another
bard, Mae, was to be an associate member, or a part-time member.  I'll need
to clarify all these positions with all the other union members.  It's going
excellent, and we need 150,000 for a union building, which we are collecting
slowly.

I enjoyed Red. The wily young Tuluki pickpocket. He had an epic death of 4-5 wind demons playing ping pong with him all across the grasslands.

The guy had cunning, but he was 'not' wise. In terms of picking enemies, friends, and adventures.  He assassinated a Nakki Templar's aide at some point and then talked himself out of it when the Templar pressed him, designating himself a detective and vowing to find the 'real' murderer.  I still snicker when Calvera said, "I cant believe you walked out alive from that meeting!" in my chara report. I was so proud of myself :). I was so good at framing Akai Sjir in her murder, Qoriya had to ask me to stop messing with them.  He had a good friendship with the human tribals and when sitting at their camp, they asked me to give them a lesson in dual wield, I had them hopping on one leg, rubbing their head clockwise and tummy counterclockwise, singing a song. Whoever actually did it, I taught them my ... journeymen dual wield. They were so thankful.

One of my, (if not my) favorite characters was Kitt Borsail. She went through a lot of drama because I played her as a mostly-crazy librarian. The best part of playing her was the enemies, however. Ru Fale and Kitt had a long-standing rivalry which was incredible to play out. The pair feuded in public, talked smack, acted like frenemies, hate banged each other 1-2x, etc. They even wrote each other mean notes.

The marred, dusky-toned male jumps a bit at the footstomp in surprise.

The marred, dusky-toned male walks south.
You follow the marred, dusky-toned male, and walk south.

The Upstairs Hallway [N, E, W]
This hallway is composed primarily of white paneled walls set over a
crimson-and-black-tiled floor.  The ceramic tiles of the floor are polished
and warm to the touch, set in a checkered pattern with minimal black
grouting between them.  The southern wall features two large windows which
allow fresh breezes and sunshine into the hallway.  When not shuttered
against a storm, they allow a look out over the low-roofed buildings along
Merchant's Road.  Gauzy crimson curtains accent the sides of the windows,
tied in place with black silk cords.
Wyvern-crested doors are set on either side of the hallway which
continues to the north past a few more doors and a curtain.  A silver-tinted
glass lantern hangs suspended from a hook by the eastern door, directly
above a small, unobtrusive table.
The marred, dusky-toned male is standing here.
The massive, wyvern-tattooed man watches his surroundings.
The purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman has arrived from the north.

The marred, dusky-toned male asks you, in sirihish:
"Shall I announce you, Lady Ru?"

With an amused little toss of her head, you say to the marred, dusky-toned male, in sirihish:
"That's what you're normally supposed to do."

The marred, dusky-toned male says, in sirihish:
     "Oh... good.  Yes."

Instructing, you say to the marred, dusky-toned male, in sirihish:
"Lady Ru Fale, the most glorious, wonderful, modest, beautiful, splendiferous planner of parties."

The marred, dusky-toned male shouts, in sirihish:
"The Lady Ru to visit, my Lady."

You hear a woman's voice shout from the east in sirihish:
     "Enter."

The tiny, bushy-maned teen sighs and shakes her head.

The Silver Room [W, Quit, Save]
The sparkling clean, white-painted walls of this spacious chamber are
accented in the corners by the draped lengths of silver silk that flow from
ceiling to floor, nearly hiding the thick baobab timbers that frame the
room's corners.  The walls contrast sharply with the glossy, smooth black
ceramic tiles of the floor.  Large windows along the eastern and southern
walls combine with the vaulted ceiling to give the room an airy and spacious
feel.  Curtains of gauzy silver silk line the windows and a carved ivory
chandelier hangs from the center of the vaulted ceiling, supporting enough
glowcrystals to completely light the room at  night or during storms.  The
room is lightly furnished, with a silk-curtained bed, wardrobe, and table
tucked into opposite corners.
A squat clay keg sits on a table, tapped and ready to pour.
A small bone keg sits on a table, tapped and ready to pour.
Carved panels facing the doorway, a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk stands near the center of the room.
A panelled folding screen is set up near the wardrobe.
A tall cylini and glass bookcase stands beside the desk.
An unlit fiery-eyed, somberly-painted human skull is here sits on the desk, illuminating the area in an orange glow.
A tall, full-leaved plant with purple flowers stands in a corner here.
The fit, keen-eyed woman is sitting at a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.
The purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman has arrived from the west.

You hear a man's voice from the west say, in sirihish:
"The Most Glorious, Wonderful, Modest, Beautiful, Spendif---um"

Over her shoulder, you shout in sirihish:
"Too late, that goes with the name!  It's Name Titles Titles!"

Lips pursing, the fit, keen-eyed woman looks up at you.

Fondly, you say to the purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman, in sirihish:
"You can wait by the door darling."

The marred, dusky-toned male has arrived from the west, several steps behind.

The purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman dips into a flamboyant bow, then stations herself by the door.

Motioning, the fit, keen-eyed woman says to the marred, dusky-toned male, in sirihish:
     "Shut the door."

The marred, dusky-toned male tries another bow.

The marred, dusky-toned male closes the door.

Gesturing to the seat across from her, the fit, keen-eyed woman says to you, in sirihish:
"Please have a seat, my Lady Fale."

Pointing to the bottle on a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk, the fit, keen-eyed woman says to the marred, dusky-toned male, in sirihish:
"Heejo. Open this bottle of Silver for the Lady Fale."

You sit at a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

The marred, dusky-toned male sets up opposite the purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman, making an odd pair of book-ends bestride the door.

The tiny, bushy-maned teen slouches into the chair and makes herself very comfortable-looking.

At your table, the fit, keen-eyed woman says in sirihish, appreciably to you:
     "You look radiant."

To the fit, keen-eyed woman, steeping up, the marred, dusky-toned male says, in sirihish:
     "Bottle... riight."

The marred, dusky-toned male gets his dark-tinted azure bottle from a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

At your table, you say in sirihish, regarding the fit, keen-eyed woman's with an amused tilt of your head:
"Thank you dear.  You look marvelous too."

You think:
"If I didn't think you wanted something from the apology and the Silver, I definitely think you want something now."

You begin watching the fit, keen-eyed woman.

The fit, keen-eyed woman sits up straight and keeps her hands folded on top of a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk in an appropriate manner.

At your table, the fit, keen-eyed woman says in sirihish, nodding to you:
     "Of course."

The tiny, bushy-maned teen is so slouched in her chair that she looks about ready to put her feet up on the desk.

Resting its base on his thigh, the marred, dusky-toned male fumbles loose the paper wrapping about its slender neck.  He sort of makes a shambles of the label in the process.

The fit, keen-eyed woman looks momentarily at the marred, dusky-toned male, appearing to disapprove of his fumbling.

The tiny, bushy-maned teen gazes intently at the marred, dusky-toned male's process.

At your table, the fit, keen-eyed woman says in sirihish, looking back to you:
"I am interested in having you host a party for me."

Getting a good grip on the stopper, the marred, dusky-toned male causes a few loud *Squeak* *Squeeels* before he gets the cork free with a loud pop.

The tiny, bushy-maned teen bursts into applause.

At your table, you say in sirihish, giggling to the fit, keen-eyed woman:
"I'm sorry dear, I couldn't hear you over the ravening distraction.  He's quite entertaining."

With a bit of swagger at the applause, the marred, dusky-toned male sets the sadly mangled bottle back up on the desk, the paper label flapping limping.

Before retreating again, the marred, dusky-toned male puts his dark-tinted azure bottle onto a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

At your table, the fit, keen-eyed woman says in sirihish, dryly:
"Is he? I find him somewhat distracting in an unentertaining way."

Frowning, the fit, keen-eyed woman gets her dark-tinted azure bottle from a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

The fit, keen-eyed woman gets her elegant obsidian goblet from a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

At your table, you say in sirihish, with a little wave of her hand:
"Oh, you know, he'd probably improve with a decade or two of Arboretum training."

The fit, keen-eyed woman pours a brightly colored, thick liquid from her dark-tinted azure bottle to her elegant obsidian goblet.

The fit, keen-eyed woman rises from her seat to offer her elegant obsidian goblet to you.

At your table, the fit, keen-eyed woman says in sirihish:
     "He might."

With a side glance, making an adjustment in his own posture to match, the marred, dusky-toned male looks down at the purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman.

At your table, you say in sirihish, leaning forward to accept the offered goblet:
"Mmm, Tysina was a mercenary once.  And she's quite lovely.  She has the most entertaining way of grabbing her crotch at Puppy by way of greeting."

The purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman sketches a glance aside to the marred, dusky-toned male and rattles something in her pocket, something that sounds suspiciously like dice.

Bumping into a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk and splashing it all over you, the fit, keen-eyed woman pours her elegant obsidian goblet on the ground.

Deadpan, the fit, keen-eyed woman says, in sirihish:
     "Oops."

The tiny, bushy-maned teen stares at the fit, keen-eyed woman, then at her sodden skirt, then back at her.

The fit, keen-eyed woman regains her seat primly.

The fit, keen-eyed woman pours a brightly colored, thick liquid from her dark-tinted azure bottle to her elegant obsidian goblet.

Looking to the marred, dusky-toned male, the fit, keen-eyed woman says, in sirihish:
"See the Lady Fale out, Heejo."

Watching you over the rim, the fit, keen-eyed woman sips from her elegant obsidian goblet.

You feel stunned.

The marred, dusky-toned male opens the door.

Helpfully to you, the fit, keen-eyed woman says, in sirihish:
"I hear wine stains terribly. You'll need to hurry if you want to save your silks."

Forearm over his chest, the marred, dusky-toned male lowers the deep bow.

At your table, you say in sirihish, slowly tilting her head to the side:
"Oh that's quite alright darling.  I own more than one skirt."

You notice: The fit, keen-eyed woman examines your expression carefully.

You notice: The fit, keen-eyed woman has a hint of malice in her blue eyes.

(The tiny, bushy-maned teen's expression is somewhere between amusement and disdain.)

Politely, gesturing to the open door, the marred, dusky-toned male asks you, in sirihish:
     "Shall we, Lady Ru?"

The fit, keen-eyed woman gets her silver-tinted wineglass with a crimson wyvern etched in the side from a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

The fit, keen-eyed woman pours a brightly colored, thick liquid from her dark-tinted azure bottle to her silver-tinted wineglass with a crimson wyvern etched in the side.

Passing it with a certain nod, the fit, keen-eyed woman gives you her silver-tinted wineglass with a crimson wyvern etched in the side.

At your table, the fit, keen-eyed woman says in sirihish:
     "Now we are "even"."

The marred, dusky-toned male suckles on a canine tooth, eyeing the purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman up.  After a few more moments, he lets slip the "its on" nod to her.

At your table, you say in sirihish, beaming a dimple-cheeked smile at the fit, keen-eyed woman:
     "Are we now.  How lovely."

(The tiny, bushy-maned teen is just a little too saccharine.)

Working her way up from her slouch, you stand up from a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

Nodding to you, the fit, keen-eyed woman says, in sirihish:
     "We are."

Casually, the fit, keen-eyed woman sips from her elegant obsidian goblet.

To the fit, keen-eyed woman, expectantly, the marred, dusky-toned male asks, in sirihish:
     "My Lady?"

You think:
     "Completely raised by gortok."

Speaking to the marred, dusky-toned male, but keeping her eyes on you, the fit, keen-eyed woman says, in sirihish:
"Allow the Lady Fale the illusion that she is not disturbed by her embarrassment, Heejo. She'll take a moment to gather herself."

The fit, keen-eyed woman says to the marred, dusky-toned male, in sirihish:
"But she'll be along in due time."

Fluttering a little wave, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"I'm sure we'll talk about your par--"

The marred, dusky-toned male eases from the chamber.

The marred, dusky-toned male stops leading you.

Rolling her eyes, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"Oh goodness Kitt, I've poured more wine on myself and had wine poured on me by better people than you.  If it makes you feel better, fine."

The marred, dusky-toned male walks west.

Circling around a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk, the fit, keen-eyed woman stands up from a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

Gesturing to your blouse and skirt, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"You've succeeded at pouring wine one me.  Congratulations, you're due an apprenticeship on the Arboretum."

Carefully, the fit, keen-eyed woman puts her elegant obsidian goblet onto a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

The fit, keen-eyed woman reaches out to your face with both of her hands at a non-threatening speed.

You think:
"I refuse to flounce out.  I want it to be Ru, three, Kitt, zero."

The tiny, bushy-maned teen backs away from the fit, keen-eyed woman.

Sarcastically, the fit, keen-eyed woman says to you, in sirihish:
"Please Ru, just let me touch you. I'm so envious of your grandeur."

With a little sniff, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"I would be if I were you.  I was born with social skills, after all.  All you have are your books and your illusion that your blood is better than mine."

Touching a hand to her breast, the fit, keen-eyed woman says to you, in sirihish:
"My blood is better than yours, you common circus girl. It's a shame you didn't come dressed as you did at the party -- pleb style suits you."

You notice: The fit, keen-eyed woman scowls at you.

With sudden, malicious delight, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"You really don't know, do you?  You don't have any clue."

Batting your eyelashes, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"You're a scholar, supposedly, dear.  Dig into your own bloodlines, why don't you?  And don't come crying to me when you find weeds in the garden."

(The tiny, bushy-maned teen's malicious delight isn't faked, anyway.)

Eyes rolling, the fit, keen-eyed woman says to you, in sirihish:
"I'm certain, my Lady Fale. You would know, given your incredible reading comprehension."

With a positively delighted, dimple-cheeked smile, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"I'm not asking you to believe me.  Do yourself a favor and look into it yourself."

Sweetly, you say to the fit, keen-eyed woman, in sirihish:
"In the meanwhile, I'm glad we're even.  All His Shadows."

Nodding promptly, the fit, keen-eyed woman gets her elegant obsidian goblet from a grandiose, wyvern-carved baobab desk.

You think:
     "Ru three, Kitt zero."

The marred, dusky-toned male waits here awkwardly.
The massive, wyvern-tattooed man watches his surroundings.
The purple-dreadlocked, dark-skinned woman has arrived from the east.

[A very uncomfortable Heejo leads Ru out.]

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

That's... kind of an amazing interaction.  Thanks for posting it!
Labor omnia vincit - "(Hard) work conquers all."

My character wasn't very well known but I had loads of fun.

Name: Xaren ("known only by his fake name Lyn")
Sdesc: The thin, lean young man.

I was a noob once, and as a noob I didn't do well as some may know. This was one of my first character's I feel like connected with the gameworld and the people around him like a living breathing person.
Xaren was born in Red Storm with only his older sister to trust and be loved by, never being told of his Mother except that she died not long after he was born and that his Father wasn't there. He made it through his youth as a troubled Young Man, finding him and his sister a spot with a Rag-tag group of Raiders that made their way outside the sands. Terrorizing local Caravans and what not.
Tensions rose between his group and the Militia of Red Storm.
He fled to Allanak to avoid getting caught in the tension too much. He wore a facewrap to avoid being seen by anyone who would come look for him.

After settling in Allanak he joined the T'zai Byn to train so he could make his own way alone. He made friends there that were unlikely. Such as a breed so nasty his name was "Rot". After a while of being in the Byn he foun comfort in finding people to rely on, having been with the unit through the loss of a Byn Sarge and even getting kidnapped by a Gith, raided of his shit and left naked to be taken back to Allanak by an ex bynner. (LYN GOT BUTTFUCKED BY A GITH.) He really did, he considered telling someone he considered to be his best friend about his history in Red Storm after being promoted to Trooper. A few weeks after being Promoted he was at gate duty and came back to see his Sarge and Friend, Rot and one other dead with the unit in shambles. He requested to keave the Byn right then and there being unable to deal with the loss mentally, a spice pipe was found in his Aba and he fled the compound, becoming a deserter and a criminal in Allanak for bringing spice. He mounted his beetle and rode through the Salt Flats to find the edge of the Red Desert so he could ride around Luirs into Morins knowing he couldn't go to Storm and luirs is where the Byn would find him.

On the way he died to something Im not allowed to say publicly.

Looking back on it, it was the perfect time and place to die. He had his story and if he was alive and kept going I doubt there would be much purpose.

RIP Gith boi Trooper Lyn (Xaren)
You will be loved by many Gith Dicks.

Oh snap, usually I don't know when people post about their old characters but I was there for this!! Actually the character that witnessed this is one of my favorites but she did not live long!

Aya (the athletic, golden-skinned woman) was my first bynner! And I got to go on a sewer patrol and it was insane!! It was so much fun and I was super enjoying her. But I was a dumb noob and died because I thought I could way while traveling with the sarge to Luirs to get another stranded bynner. We ran into some gith. Got thrown from my beetle, then knocked out. Andddd Mantis head..

I literally cried I was so upset at her death/my stupidity.. (I was also 8 months pregnant at that time but I can't entirely blame it on that)
The naked chubby winged halfling flaps its wings and blows you a kiss!
