Signatures and Complainers

First off I'd like to say that the new sectioning off parts for only special people to post is quite annoying when you hit the post reply button and get told your not good enough to post. Perhaps that button can be removed if you can't post?

Just a suggestion to add: what about forum rules about it? A lot of the forums I visit have them.

Maybe nothing animated, nothing over 60 or 75k, and a few other misc things. It would probably be a lot easier than coding an ignore feature.

Hmm... I can see a size restriction in terms of bytes. POSSIBLY a restriction in terms of pixel size, but a restriction on content can't go beyond the restrictions that are in place for the text, basically...

No flames, no IC-sensitive information.

Basically as long as it's not insulting(And tastes don't count here, neither does weaknesses in your eyes not being able to handle bright colors or your problem with blinking sigs when your too lazy to just scroll past.) or contain IC-sensitive information and such, it should be allowed. Restriction on how someone can represent themselves is bullshit.

Restriction to keep the board loading smoothly(Such as size) on the other hand is understandable.

As for everyone complaining about the shit, I'm sure most have already figured out my opinion.

Does anyone really want me digging up a graphic for my sig?  I didn't think so.    Although there aren't any restrictions on graphics, I think a reasonable restriction would be no pornographic type stuff that could get people fired if they are reading the GDB from work.  Still, that leaves a whole host of things like occular ulcers and foot worms that are revolting without being at all sexual.

Easier than moderating what people put in their signatures might be eliminating the signature feature all together.  If you want to say something at the end of every post you could always type it in manually.
