Poll: Reaction to Removal of Full Elementalists

Do not post comments in this thread.  There's another thread for that.  This is purely to give staff a statistical representation of the player sentiment on these changes.

It gives them a statistical representation of GDB using and vocal players, but not the entire playerbase. There may be a plethora of player requests communicating a wholly different sentiment that we are utterly blind to.

This is true.  But I don't have a way to poll all players.  Imperfect tool, but significantly better than trying to gauge sentiment by reading posts on the main thread.

Just want to mention.

I do understand how you guys feel about the full magickers.

If I had a choice, I would of course pick to have the new subguilds and still have the option for the OG Mages.

However, I don't, and we don't, so lamenting about it is.

Futile.
<19:14:06> "Bushranger": Why is it always about sex with animals with you Jihelu?
<19:14:13> "Jihelu": IT's not always /with/ animals

Posting for retention. I'd like to see the same poll in 3-6 months when I'm less bummed out.

This poll has been helpful and we look forward to gathering additional feedback once the change has had time to settle, and additional parts of the guild revamp go live.

What's the question? I think maybe it's been edited and maybe someone removed the question or my browser is broken. I currently I see the question as this: "Question:   Please do not post commentary in this thread.  Votes only."
"It's too hot in the hottub!"

The questions is implied. "Do you agree with these changes?"

These changes obviously being the removal of full elementalists.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion.

I voted neutral, but what that actually represents is a feeling that some parts of this are really good and some parts are really bad.

Exactly 100 votes. I guess we can see that the majority is for these changes.
Sometimes, severity is the price we pay for greatness

To be fair, that last poll was asking the question "Should mages have more role opportunities?".  Which isn't strongly correlated to this poll.

Really? "Would these changes, in your opinion, be better served by also keeping the old mage options?" seems like a pretty similar question to "do you agree with the removal of full elementalists?" except that yes in one is correlated with no in the other.

This poll is about the changes on the whole, which most people agree with or don't care about. That includes magicker-subs, as well as the removal of full magickers. The other poll is for just the one thing.

Oh, well, I suppose I was misled by the title of this poll, which seems to be probing for reactions to the removal of full elementalists in particular.

Yeah, you can't judge the full elementalist question by this poll, because it's actually asking about the changes in total. And it asks a bit of a leading way - (drawn into the game) is a softer option, especially with new exciting stuff to play, than (I might quit), the polarizing option. Not a lot of people are wanting to quit.
I tripped and Fale down my stairs. Drink milk and you'll grow Uaptal. I know this guy from the state of Tenneshi. This house will go up Borsail tomorrow. I gave my book to him Nenyuk it back again. I hired this guy golfing to Kadius around for a while.

The stats that matter are the ones that say how many players log in, and how regularly they log in. As a player, albeit a somewhat irregular one, that's what I care about. If I was running the game, those are the stats I would watch the closest as well.
