I got to thinking about Barrier.

With the change to have everyone Master's of Contact.

Does Barrier ever stand of chance of stopping folks from contacting you and just crushing your barrier?

It's my hope that master barrier trumps master contact.

Anyone else ever thought about this?

Yes. Hard to give detail without getting into code specifics.

Without going into specifics barrier has more uses than simply barring anyone from contacting you.

I'm aware, but in the context of this question, that's all I was worried about.

Master Barrier does not always trump master contact, no, but I'm pleasantly surprised when someone DOES crush my barrier. Typically, its not a one time "Hey is Riev on?" and boom, they usually are trying to find me and tried a couple times.

That said, has anyone else ever noticed that if the person is offline, failed contact takes less stun than if they're online and barriered/normal fail? Or is it just a confirmation bias?
