Mushclient Colour

Started by sosaria, January 14, 2016, 08:43:30 PM

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone here is using Mushclient, and what kind of colour settings they're using for Armageddon (and how to set it up)? Having all the text as white/grey on a black screen is a bit jarring. Maybe just something I have to get used to.

Thanks!!

Yes, I am wondering the same and would love some help in being able to pick the different kinds of info out more easily. Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking if somebody already has colour setup for their Mushclient if they're able to share their saved file? I'm assuming it will duplicate the colour settings so when we open the saved file we can see the colours too.

Just throwing out some ideas, not sure if that will even work.

This may help http://gdb.armageddon.org/index.php/topic,50378.0.html

I also have a colour script, just add me on AIM and I'll send it.

I managed to upload a file through google docs so no need for that :)

(I say, totally unbiased...)

Darker maroon on Ivory. The background is #460000 and the Ivory is a pre-packed color in MushClient (#FFFFF0). When I played in the Tuluki area (RIP) I changed the background to a deeper green. But the dark red and ivory helps me focus and makes it pleasant to look at. I couldn't play this game with white-on-black color only.

The highlights are custom.  ;) Really though, they're an amalgamation of old "cheating" xml highlight scripts and my own identifiers. They'd probably be useless and annoying to the normal player, too, because of how I have them color-coded to different themes and meanings. My favorite highlight triggers are ^(.*?)you,(.*?)$
^(.*?)the body of(.*?)$
^(.*?)here\, fighting you\.$

I also had fashioned up a secondary window which echoes all my psionic communication, so I don't lose that one Way message during my spam-walking (but I lost that when my laptop died on me).

Play smart!
Be gentle. I had a Nyr brush with death that I'm still getting over.

I used a blue background with a yellow shade of text. I can't even imagine going back to black and white. It is weird on the eyes, and I feel like I'm back in 1997.

I highlight my character's name. Also, 'you' and 'your' even though they show up occasionally like this and in some room descriptions(which I have turned off). Makes it really easy to spot anything that pertains to me, or things at "your table" and so on.
