Looking at the horizon

Quick idea

Direction Sense -> advanced

Late afternoon (1 minute RL before dusk):
You can sense that it will be dark soon.

Before dawn (1 minute RL before dawn):
You can sense it will be light out soon.

Help prepare to camp for the night and to get ready to leave at dawn.

Not a big deal - but will add some nice flavor to the guilds/subs that have it.
The figure in a dark hooded cloak says in rinthi-accented Sirihish, 'Winrothol Tor Fale?'

Considering each hour is based on our RL ten minutes, and you know it's going to be dark based on the moons in the sky and the time of day, I really don't think this is needed. As an RPI, I feel like part of the game is learning about the time, the weather, and the ect. as a hunter.

Just set an time to beep you every ninth minute (and bring extra underwear).  ;D

Please explain how to do this in CMud - and to synchronize the 9th minute in your timer with the 9th minute on Zalanthas - i.e. 1 minute before the hour changes.

This isn't really possible without some kind of tick update from the mud when the hour changes. Which is doable outdoors, but it'll break if you can't see the sun's movement.

I use mush client.

This is how I would do it (could be an easier way that wouldn't require you to reset it at every login).
1. Set a timer to go off every ten minutes.
2. Click reset timers at XX:X9 o'clock.

When I fix my laptop I have a mushclient timer for spells that I've shared before, also have one for the day/night cycles that just gives you a heads up and a 15 sec interval countdown for spells dissipating/time changes.

I don't know how to make this shit, I just have a buddy that likes to learn how to make this shit. Then I use it.
A staff member sends you:
"Normally we don't see a <redacted> walk into a room full of <redacted> and start indiscriminately killing."

You send to staff:
"Welcome to Armageddon."
