If you could remove one thing...

If you could remove one thing from Zalanthas, what would it be and why?
A staff member sends you:
"Normally we don't see a <redacted> walk into a room full of <redacted> and start indiscriminately killing."

You send to staff:
"Welcome to Armageddon."

Resisting the urge to just say Tuluk...

I'd say get rid of the Gemmed. Make magick rare and scary and not an entire portion of the city. Going to healers would be like visiting drug dealers in real life; shady, illegal, and awkward. They'd work out of places like The Mantis in the 'rinth.

I'd get rid of hit and replace it with martial arts so everyone is a kung fu legend.

I forgot to put mine, whoops.

Half-giants

I feel they're hard to play corrrectly and way to rawr out of the gate.

Merchant Houses.
"The church bell tollin', the hearse come driving slow
I hope my baby, don't leave me no more
Oh tell me baby, when are you coming back home?"

city elves have been removed from player options due to the fact that rehashing them would require staff work that we don't have. city elves have not been removed. city elves can still be animated by staff. players just cannot play them anymore. you can still play the desert elf subrace, which is like city elf except you're physically competent and you're only allowed to talk to 5 other players.

Unironically support this.

Crimcode
All the world will be your enemy. When they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

The Tablelands. I want tribals to be as powerless and neutral as all the other tribals, make being a citizen of an oppressive city-state that much more of a power thing, as much as citizenship grants anyhow.

Make being a citizen always mean more than being a tribal, is what I'm saying, and make it more protective, as far as that can go.

Why should being a citizen beat being a tribal?

Being a citizen does mean more than being tribal, in the places where citizenship exists... so I'm still not sure what you're getting at.

With the tablelands gone, those powerful tribes will be gone and as a tribal of a small tribe you don't have any weight to throw around in the cities for any reason, at any time.

Might change mine to hidden breeds, though. I just don't like 'em.

I'm still struggling to understand the problem you appear to be imagining or how removing the tablelands would resolve it.

So this thread doesn't turn into a discussion about tribals: In lieu of removing the crimcode, I would remove the twitchy, slack-jawed man, or all deceptive fall rooms.

I wish powerful tribes were gone. Does that answer your question?

Third place for me would be the coding of the silt sea and how wonky driving a skimmer on it can be. Make it neater and smoother.

NPC shops, but I think that would make things way too hard to get something.

I would remove the tailor BS of Red Storm.
"When I was a fighting man, the kettle-drums they beat;
The people scattered gold-dust before my horse's feet;
But now I am a great king, the people hound my track
With poison in my wine-cup, and daggers at my back."

I would just keep removing playable options until everyone is restricted to playing a human merchant in one city.
