In case you are not a fan of haiku, we are now accepting applications for a new Templar and Borsail noble in Allanak.

Borsails are the premier noble house of Allanak, and as such are the very wealthiest of all nine houses. As upper tier nobility, they set the standard for image and noble conduct in Allanak. Borsail supplements its Senate-granted stipend with generous income from slave trading, and it's wyvern brand on a slave is known as a mark of superior training and conditioning. Not all Borsails need concern themself with slave training, however; their generous stipends allow them many other pursuits, or the luxury of simply being indolent.

Two generations ago, during the gith invasion of Allanak, terrible magicks destroyed the Borsail estates in the Noble's Quarter, sinking them into lava along with a large number of the family. Since then House Borsail has brought itself back from the brink, narrowly fending off its own dissolution in the Senate from Kasix and other rivals, and acquiring new estates in the Merchant's Quarter of Allanak. Borsails are inherently political creatures, and know much more work remains to be done to restore the family to its former glory days. Of course, the struggles for power inside the family are rumored to be just as fierce as the struggles without...



Blue-Robed Templars are chosen by the agents of Tektolnes, taken away from their families at a young age and trained to serve the Highlord, who in turn grants them a portion of His near-limitless magickal power. Templars are almost exclusively picked from noble families, though they renounce all loyalty to their House or origin upon entering the ranks of the Templarate. All templars are charged with upholding the laws of Allanak, though just what precisely those laws are, and how offenses are punished, is left largely up to their discretion. Indeed, a Templar can condemn most any commoner to death on a whim, in any number of tortuous ways -- although their actions are not always without reprecussions or political ramifications.

All PC templars belong to the War Ministry in Allanak, charged with commanding militia soldiers and furthering the military goals of the City-State, but not all need be warriors. Many templars, fattened from frequent bribes and with soldiers at their beck and call, never need draw their own sword except for show.



To apply for either role, please first read up on the available documentation of Allanak and the clan you are applying for. Please also read and review the stipulations in help Sponsored Roles. Then, submit a Role Application request to either the Arm of the Dragon or House Borsail clans. Your application should include:

- The character's name (and House, for templars)
- A rough background and description (you can edit these if you are accepted to bring them in line with documentation you may not have been aware of in advance)
- An outline of your goals for the character
- A summary of your experience as a player in leadership roles and in Allanaki society, especially any experience you feel would help you in this role
