Family role calls and play times

This is for people experienced in playing in PC families. What do you think would be a minimum number of hours per week one needs to be capable of putting in before they consider announcing a family role?

I hope I'm clear enough, I'm so tired I'm falling off my chair.

I think any time is fine as long as you are clear up front with people about your availability.
All the world will be your enemy. When they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you; digger, listener, runner, Prince with the swift warning. Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed.

I'd imagine the more important issue is playing at the same time as your family. If you can swing that, the amount you'd need to play would go way down.

Minimum, a couple hours every couple days should suffice... However if your planning on making some new GMH and your set to be the agent, well then much much more time would need invested.

I played a family role once. I had a elder brother and sister.

I never got to see my brother, he died hunting.

And my sister died shortly after, she was found out as a krathi.

Then as the family luck is brought down from sibling to sibling, I died while on a sekrit mission for a Templar.

I was upfront on my playtimes and timezones and just tried to communicate or interact with them when I manage to get to. Which was usually over the Way, but it was still pretty awesome and family like.

If your sister was a Krathi THEN YOU HAD NO SISTER.

Is that the albino from The Da Vinci's Code?

Do I remind you of him like, overall, or...?

I'm not sure if that's awesome or not because I thought he was really scary-cool.

I just saw your pic in the non-arm section...a bit of hairdye, some contacts, movie-makeup for scars, and a haircut, you'd make a fortune as a cosplayer.

I had a family role once. I only started seeing my younger brother after a RL week and then we met about four times a week and I was playing every day, and I never even saw the other sibling. And to this day, nobody cared. I think it would bother me if the younger brother and older brother also were missing out on each other, you know in the nonserious way where nobody cares. I'm sure those two had fun together, and I was honored enough to have the opportunity to provide a nice plot for the brother I did see which lasted beyond my death, and I got a kudos from somebody in the process.

Just go for it. Get all three maybe, if you know for a fact you'll only log in twice a week or something.
