Has this changed or isn't Amos the most common Zalanthas name? Shouldn't everyone have a character named Amos once?

And here I was thinking it was from some off-hand comment a staffer made eight or so years ago about most common names for PCs.

I think it was one of those things that was very not darksun but somehow happened and became a thing that evolved with arm.

I heard it started when there were like 8 PCs running around with the same name many moons ago.  Likewise with "the tall muscular man" being a common newbie sdesc.

To my shame, I had the keyword 'tall' in one of my first characters. I eventually changed it when I wised up.
