Visualizing Zalanthas: Tuluki concept edition

Back in September, we made a call for original submissions.  This was meant to help us out with envisioning a few concepts for the new Tuluki Templarate uniforms.

Our overall goals were to find some artistic influence for the textual descriptions we would end up creating.  The long and the short of it was that it was going to be difficult to describe something that was a mix of a few different styles without seeing some ideas of what those things looked like.  The playerbase responded and provided some excellent visual aids that ultimately shaped what the end result would be.  We'd like to share that work with everyone now and give some public kudos to the players that helped us figure out what to go with.  Just to clarify, the artwork provided below is concept artwork; it influenced the end product, but each piece may not necessarily be exactly what it looks like in-game.

First, we have shadow artists.

The rendering software does almost all the heavy lifting for you. It's a lot of piecing things together.  I was just looking at this thread and thinking "man, I wish I could sketch."   You guys are awesome.

Templar Headdress by Grey Area is my fav, but the shadow artist tatt on the face is awesome too. Very well done all of them. Just imagine how awesome of a game ARM would be if you could still do what you do with text, but it was all graphic.

That's some sweet concept art. I like both the drawings and the CGI stuff. Nice work. I think the Aztec sort of style works good for Tuluk, being sun aligned and whatnot.
Kudos to the first North Templar who holds a human heart, still beating, in one hand high before a crowd.
