My one concern is items with super long sdescs - I don't really want to see this:

Yes, this is needed, just like the <change> <ldesc> size limit. It requires adding up a few strings but should be feasible.  Mostly just for clothing and jewelry, decorative items.

When I have characters that wear more than stinky tembo, I can spam pages of l me, trying to get my wear list to look nice on my screen.  Fortunately, that's not often.
