Maxid - Seeing you've only played since 09, ive been at it since 03 or something around there. If you were to take away what the game is and change it to roleplay only when the game is already an awesome game and people can adapt to how it is now, this is Armageddon. Not some bull crap little game. I play Arm because its unique, you don't like how it is now, leave. If they change I bet people will leave.

I'm sorry, you haven't done anything except another appeal to tradition.  Please point out specific flaws with this change.

I actually like all of the proposed changes except the family friendly PG stuff at the top. I want to believe that part is the joke, but the rest is real.

• Limiting new accounts to human is fine. I say go a step further and make dwarf require 1 karma. Elf isn't so bad, since the racial barriers are severe enough that you can't play an elf like a tall, fast human if you tried.
• An OOC channel in the game for newbies and helpers is fine. Give people the option to toggle it off, and make it automatically disabled for people with 1+ karma who have not been flagged as helpers.
• Staff plots? Why not?
• Sdesc adjustment? Sure, it can be tweaked.
• I hate the clan forums and wish clan rumor boards were used, so I really like that one.

We've seen a lot of players trying to make "fair elven maidens" and "insatiable brutes" over the past few weeks.  It really has gotten to the point where it's difficult to explain to them why this isn't exactly acceptable, even though the sdesc words are allowed.  This is just the natural next step to help out those new players.

As for the roleplaying PG guidelines, this really isn't too different from how things are in Tuluk right now.  None of this is allowed in public (violence and brutality, that is) and it happens behind the scenes.  Moving that sort of thing to the virtual atmosphere is not too far from that.
