Is there any way to purchase an item from a merchant in the same room as a merchant that sells tattoos?  It appears bugged.

Wish up and ask staff to have the merchant you want to trade with wander into another room of the marketplace you are in.
Be sure to include the sdesc of the merchant you want and mention that a tattoo merchant is trumping him/her.

From my understanding, any staff member can do this since it is only animating an NPC to do what they would normally do (wandering around selling stuff).

I typoed it yesterday. I wish there was some way for the staff to just fix the tattoo list, so that this doesn't happen so often and the staff doesn't have to keep fixing the *other* npcs every time.

I've always assumed the tattoos were tied to the room, not necessarily the NPC tattooist.  I cannot remember what led me to believe that, though.  Perhaps just how different they seem to look and work when you interact with them.  :shrug:
