It's Gladiator Time!

It's festival season in Allanak, and you are invited... to die screaming on the bloodsoaked sand for the amusement of the pampered nobility!

Since there's no party like an arena party, we need a few brave volunteers to apply for gladiator roles. This will be an extra, temporary character that you can play up to and during the RPT. They will almost certainly die, so make sure they die entertainingly.

• You need to be available for at least one of the arena games during the RPT - seriously, don't apply if you can't actually make it. The main event will run from the 27th through to the 29th of January.


• Spaces are limited, so get in quick. Preference will be given to those who are completely unable to attend the event with their current character (for example because they're a northern barbarian who'll be inconveniently executed if they set foot in Allanak).



• Standard races and guilds are more likely to be accepted. Yes you can ask for a mul, but you can't all be muls, okay? There will be no magickers/psionicists whatsoever.
  

If this sounds like your cup of tea, send a role application request to the Arm of the Dragon with your character concept. This role call will close as soon as we have enough gladiators.

We have some additional requirements for these roles:

No more muls please.  Only apply for what you have the karma for, from this point forward.

Only apply for races that are currently playable.  No gith, mantis etc.

If you wish to have an extended subguild then you MUST submit this as a special application.  You can ask for an extended subguild for your gladiator but it will take up one of your special application slots.

A general FYI about the dates/times of the upcoming games. We'll be able to get more specific about this, closer to the dates. Events will be happening on:

Thursday Jan 26th, evening peak time (US) - opening ceremony
Friday Jan 27th, evening peak time (US)
Saturday Jan 28th, sometime between early afternoon and evening peak time (US)
Sunday Jan 29th, sometime between early afternoon and evening peak time (US) - finale

We are going to try to accomodate offpeakers a bit with the earlier starts on Saturday and Sunday. More info to follow.

If you want to watch, we've worked out something so that you can see what is happening on the Arena floor.  However, you'll be unable to play (or do anything) while you are watching.  Please wish up if interested.
