I've seen people remove their pack, cloak, shirt, everything-- and then "rest", and still manage to dodge a flogging.

Being whipped using only emotes feels a bit like metagaming to me, personally - circumventing code to get around HP loss.

*Or shit, just let my character take his punishment without getting punished -more- for trying to avoid the first punishment by wriggling out of the way, because there's no nosave and my commanding officer didn't happen to have another grunt nearby to subdue.

There are some whips designed only for combat - that lack the "use" function. I'd suggest typoing them maybe, if you run across them.

Nosave combat only keeps you from attacking back if you're attacked by someone using the "kill" command.

You'll still dodge, parry, block, etc., etc., etc.

And you'll still dodge "use whip" attempts.
