On the topic of immortals. Shouldn't that say there are two visible staff-members in game? Just thinking that maybe newbies would get the wrong idea, and think you can become immortal on Zalanthas, or something weird.

Yeah, like RGS said, that's an unusually high number and happens when the staff announce a Highly Recommended Playing Time (HRPT).  On normal peak times (around 8pm EST), you can expect anywhere from 35 - 65 players.
