Here we share our prompts and the things that make prompts so awesome.

84;108|112;124|100;100|armed>

%h;%H|%v;%V|%t;%T|%A>

For me, the %A is pretty useless. I ALWAYS forget when I'm armed, and it doesn't help at all. I'm thinking of switching it to time, since then I wouldn't have to type >time constantly.

I still think the best closure you get in Armageddon is just moving on to the next character.

Choose thy fate:

<Health:x/X Stun:x/X Stam:x/X - unarmed - standing - before dawn>
A dark-shelled scrab pinches at you, but you dodge out of the way.
A dark-shelled scrab brandishes its bone-handled, obsidian scimitar.
A dark-shelled scrab holds its bloodied wicked-edged, bone scimitar.

prompt <%h/%v%t>
<100/123/115>

I always wonder why people put in their maximums for hitpoints and such.  My normal is:

H:%h S:%t V:%v  %a  >

Two spaces after the >

Add in other stuff for sneakies or magickers or whatnot.
Evolution ends when stupidity is no longer fatal."

My standard prompt:

> HP: %h - MV: %v - ST: %t / standing - walking - unarmed / sirihish - southern - high sun

The third part on language/accent/time is for when my PC have lots of appointments to catch. (the damnable Allanaki gate)

Because then you have something to compare how many hp you have with how many you have at maximum and you know how badly hurt you are. This helps roleplay your injury, sometimes. At least for me.

Also, sometimes some of the stats change due to clothes/spells/whatever and it's interesting to see.

standing : walking : armed : neutral : early morning
ldesc : is sitting here drooling on himself.

note: the ldesc line only appears if I change my ldesc to something other than standard.
Nothing to see here

Showing my maximums also provides another reminder to me whether I'm listening, in contact, etc.

The two-armed, ten-fingered man has arrived from the north.

I have zMUD highlighting the string "| armed" so that only the instances of "armed" which are in my prompt get highlighted. Simple fix.

Sometimes it is:

I use Agent_137's infobar. 'Cause I'm awesome.

How do people get the screen break in there to make a prompt look like:

[Some more stuff]

... I really would like to be able to do that.

I almost want to use that MUSHclient infobar, but if I did use it, I'd be at such a loss for what to put in as a prompt - having all that empty space would be absolutely terrifying. A MUD without a prompt. I don't know if I could cope.

Yes, it's deliberately supposed to not parse to the stat bar when in combat: I like it being on-screen when fighting.

Prior to this thread, I didn't even know there was a mood option, much less a mood prompt thingy.  Learn something new every day  ;D  ... I'm such a noob sometimes.

I might have to change it up, to incorporate mood in there.

Oh my god he's still rocking the sandwich.

Mine changes slightly everytime I pass through the Hall of Kings but generally goes something like:

%n has %h/%H hp, %t,%T st, (%m/%M ma,) and %v/%V mv >\n
He/She is %s while %w and %A  >\n
He/She is also speaking %a %o, feeling %O at %e >\n

Generally stick to three lines. Sometimes replace %O mood with what I'm riding %k. I like it not being just a set of numbers and flags so it looks something like:

Amos has 100/100 hp, 75/95 st, and 101/115 mv >
He is standing while walking and is armed >
He is speaking southern sirihish, feeling slightly aroused at early morning >

Once I have it set up I'll generally alias the hole string to 'prompt' so I can add a fourth line to it in play. The fourth line doesn't hold any flags I use it for brief important information to remember such as:

He is currently using Cactus as an alias here in the ruins of Steinal >

or

He is trying to get into Malik's pants. Remember he likes purple spiced wine >

I don't write many notes other than what goes in my prompt's fourth line. Also I would really enjoy a prompt flag that let you display your current objective in the prompt.
