...you seriously consider, for a moment, giving up using weapons in combat and just bandaging people to death.

Ah, but weapons are cheaper than bandages. 200 sid = a couple of good swords = potentially hundreds of victims. But 200 sid will only get you enough bandages to kill about 1.4 people. :D
