I've had an idea. Those who play in Allanak are familiar with the customizable tattoos we have here. They work, and they are cool.

What about scars and other body modifications that function in the same manner? I will use the same interface that custom tattoos use to suggest a process for doing scars and body modifications.

You can get a custom body modification for 300 coins:

It's a good idea. Especially having the colors as both an option for the main and secondary adjective. I've been recently annoyed by a tattooist NPC where the colors offered are only secondary. (I.E, instead of say, a black tribal design, it insists on 'tribal black design').

I approve of this idea.

Oh my god he's still rocking the sandwich.

I would like one Ritual Black Left Toe, please.

I also approve of this message, except for the "stump" part which I'm not entirely sure of (only in that I think a staffer might want to know you have a stump for an arm or something of the like)

But I do agree. Better than scars, more stuff to look at.

Masks are the Armageddon equivalent of Ed Hardy shirts.

I can't wait to get me some "Claw claw horns."!

;D

Q's stamp of approval goes here.

This is a really cool idea!

It would be a little bit weird to pay 300 coins for a custom scar. Although, this is is Zalanthas...

I think it would be really cool if this were something you could do in the starting room before you enter Zalanthas.

I like it too, especially if we can add piercings.  "Bleeding" shouldn't be on the list IMO, though.  It's easy enough to emote and it's not something that would be affecting your PC for days or weeks on end.

The secret to great RP is having the balls to be weird and the brains to make it eloquent.

Yeh, I actually didn't change that like I shoulda. I copy and pasted the tattoo merchants interface and forgot to change the price.

I like this idea as well and agree it should be something available to people as their new characters enter the game.

Just to point out, this isn't only available in Allanak. Tuluk also has such customizable tattoos.

I also support this idea, the systm works quite well and adding this to scars and the like would add the same dynamic nature to them that these merchants have done for tattoos.

I don't think this should be a merchant, as that seems a little too jarring to me. Walking up to a rippled, old man and asking him for a scar.

I think it should be accessible through 'change locdescs', and the merchant that usually sells your typical 'stock scars' should sell customizable scars instead.

I don't think it should cost money.

Too lazy to edit:

I also think there should be a seperate 'merchant' who sells dings, cracks, and specific looking equipment modifiers.

>buy large spherical bruise shield
You buy a large, spherical bruise on your black tortoiseshell shield.

>look shield
This is a shield, made out of tortoiseshell, yet somehow, it is black.
There is a large, spherical bruise on it.

or maybe even:

>buy large spherical bruise on shield's center
You buy a large, spherical bruise on your black tortoiseshell shield's center.

>look shield
This is a shield, made out of tortoiseshell, yet somehow, it is black.
There is a large, spherical bruise in the center of the shield.

Agree with Reiloth on replacing the current scar merchant with a custom change locdescs scar merchant.  As long as the various combinations make grammatical sense, and it's focused on scars and personal markings.  I really wouldn't want people to be able to buy piercings from the guy.  I think really intricate piercings are fine in someone's mdesc, and for the regular piercings there are already a variety of jewelries available.
