Favorite Clan

T'zai Byn.

Every D-Elf Tribe.

Tor.

Arm of the Dragon. One of my best times on Armageddon.

House Kadius.

Every single independent clan I've ever been in. They rock and make the game feel much more realistic.

The arrow swift, the Gate is strong.

The dwarves no more shall suffer wrong.

That independent clan I was in was great fun! Didn't live long enough to experience the greatness of AoD.

em mocks Borsail, slaps it in the face, takes its milk money, and throws it in a pit.

..

Yeah, I miss it too..

AoD. Templar, Militia, aideship, all of it is fantastic. What's best about the Arm? Templars. Scary, scary Templars. Whether you are one, or you're serving one.

I never liked the Byn, and I've given it several tries.

Same. Felt too much like a strict clan, than a rough bunch of mercenaries.

You gotta make trouble for the Byn to be fun. ;)

Like most of this game, staying alive (or staying in the clan) long enough to form relationships is where the fun is.  And the memories....

For me there is only one clan that holds the highest honor of being first in my heart and that's...

House Kadius - Thanks to a particular Senior Agent, another Senior Agent I had by chance played another MUD with years back and just a bad ass crew beneath me and a certain mul who took me under his wing.... man I fucking loved it and learned the game and some of it's intricacies there.  I mean really... really... fucking awesome.

T'zai Byn - Though I've never stayed after my first year (one day I will) I learned the ropes within this clan.  I mean, before the Byn I didn't realize that people hung out at the bar more at night then day and I just wandered around willy-nilly without using the time command.  Hell yea for a schedule.

Salarr - Loved the short time I spent there... enough to come right back and then store over realizing it's not the best idea to try to recreate the same character after dying.

you did the biggest mistake of your life

Definitely Kadius Circa the past two years up till a few months ago.

Nearly every day was gut-wrenching, edge of your seat awesomesauce.
<Morgenes> Dunno if it's ever been advertised, but we use Runequest as a lot of our inspiration, and that will be continued in Arm 2
<H&H> I can't take that seriously.
<Morgenes> sorry HnH, can't take what seriously?
<H&H>Oh, I read Runescape. Nevermin

Before I suicided my character for -horribly- OOC reasons (the results of which anger me to this day), I had probably my most fun in Kadius. The players at the time, plus the amazing long-lived characters that just seemed to know more than I ever could about the world... they all blew my mind.

Maybe I'll join them again some day, who knows, but they are definitely tops in my world.

Masks are the Armageddon equivalent of Ed Hardy shirts.

Muark. My most moving moments came in this clan. I forget exactly what happened, but a clan-mate was -really- down and sat with me for awhile. I sang them a sad song (even though I'm a shit-tastic bard and it was made up on the fly). The echoes of the home area were going off as the sun went down and I sang to my friend's sorrows. My most vivid arm memory. Good stuff.

THE FUCKING BYN. I've probably had twenty Byn characters over the eight-odd years I've played. Fun stuff.

The Guild. This was my first 'leader' position of any sort and, despite being woefully inadequate to the task, we robbed, looted, stole, murdered, smoked spice, screwed militiamen's women, knifed influential citizens, and generally did whatever the fuck we wanted to without regard to the consequences. And then was killed by a Sork, when any two-day Byn would have been enough to see me dead, since the char was ALL bluff and had never really sparred or practiced in his entire life. I always wondered what this char's death cost the hit-buyers.

We were somewhere near the Shield Wall, on the edge of the Red Desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

I'd say the Rebellion was hands down the most enjoyable clan I've ever played in.  It was fun having Allanak as an enemy because they were the oppressors (and it was fun for the players of Allanak to have someone to oppress); there was someone to hate and for very good reason, someone to hide from and someone to plot against.  Nowadays (and in pre-rebellion times) the Tuluk vs. Allanak dichotomy feels more akin to having team spirit - by that I mean that my reason to hate or oppose the other side is simply because they are the other side.

In more recent years, and this is still some ways back at this point, I'd say Borsail has housed my more memorable moments in a clan.  In this instance it was more a matter of who was inolved with or in the clan itself rather than any specific dynamics which the clan had to offer over others.

I liked Kadius, the Guild, Borsail, Blackmoon, Rebellion.

Byn has been fun, and Oash was interesting, but short for my playtime.

The Northern Noble Houses, I haven't had much experience yet, but I hope to in the future.

You win Armageddon, congratulations!  Type 'credits', then store your character and make a new one

I might be biased..

Blackwing was my favorite.

Soh. (They have to be here, I must've spent 5-6 years of my 10 year period as an Arm player in this tribe.

Blackmoon lingers on the list for sure.
Anonymous:  I don't get why magickers are so amazingly powerful in Arm.

Anonymous:  I mean... the concept of making one class completely dominating, and able to crush any other class after 5 days of power-playing, seems ridiculous to me.

I'm curious to the age of that char.

I'm on my 2nd Soh. The first Soh pc, Masha more or less lived long enough to draw some talented
players together and get the tribe coded (between 2-3 years).

Arm of the Dragon is my number one. Quite a number of great experiences there.

Soh Lanah Kah, House Tenneshi, and the Sun Legion are the next.

I tripped and Fale down my stairs. Drink milk and you'll grow Uaptal. I know this guy from the state of Tenneshi. This house will go up Borsail tomorrow. I gave my book to him Nenyuk it back again. I hired this guy golfing to Kadius around for a while.

Soh rocks. Probably a second on my list.
