IDEA: Tattoos

Started by FuSoYa, September 21, 2008, 05:10:31 PM

I already 'idea'ed this IG but I thought I'd just share it and get some folks opinions.

A command that you could type, such as 'tattoos', that will list all the tattoos you have and the location they are on your body.

I think it's simple, and helpful, and just a nice little extra to have.  I sure don't want to have to get my PC nude just to remember all my tattoos.

Thoughts?

I absolutely agree.  I'd also like if it worked for scars, too.

Make the command locdesc, for mental continuity with change locdesc.

Good addition!  Maybe if we get loud enough they'll put it in is what I'm hoping.  Can't see it hurting.

I like it a lot.

No one on staff is just waiting for the opportunity to get revenge on someone who killed one of their characters years ago.

Except me. I remember every death. And I am coming for you bastards.

I'm all for it.
A gaunt, yellow-skinned gith shrieks in fear, and hauls ass.

If you -want- me to think that your character is a hybrid of a black kryl and a white push-broom shaped like a penis, then you've done a great job

FuSoYa is a genius.

Obama AND Palin both endorse his idea.

I dunno, it doesn't seem all that realistic to me.  I mean, think about in real life: if you're not sure what that tattoo on your ass is, it doesn't make sense for you to suddenly be able to tell without dropping your trousers.  If you're in a public place, I say too bad.  Hardships are what make Armageddon great.

I like this idea.  I'd also like to see tattoos fade or turn into scars over time depending on environmental conditions like being hit with a weapon.

If my shoulder has a bad ass tattoo and I get hit there consistently, over time it would scar over, would it not?

I like this idea.

With one character I actually had to make a bio entry of all of his body markings and how he obtained them so that I wouldn't forget!
"Last night a moth came to my bed
and filled my tired weary head
with horrid tales of you, I can't believe it's true.
But then the lampshade smiled at me -
It said believe, it said believe.
I want you to know it's nothing personal."

Been there, done that.

What about deliberately hidden tattoos?
Oh, Duh. That you have. Never mind.
Varak:You tell the mangy, pointy-eared gortok, in sirihish: "What, girl? You say the sorceror-king has fallen down the well?"

That's actually a really good idea.  I'm stealing that.
