300 what, you say? 300 unique player logins, in a week's time.

The last time we experienced over 300 unique player logins in a single week was the week of The Announcement (about 2.ARM and the closing of original ARM) in November, 2006. We had 309 player logins that week, and our 4-week running average players was 317. Our current 4-week running average players is 293, which is way, way up from our recent low average of 223 in May 2007.

We've been flirting with the 290s and 300 since May, but it's looking better and better recently.

This is big, you guys. I'm excited.

Kudos to the imms for so visibly improving and maintaining original ARM in the last 6 or so months.

And kudos to Barzalene and other players who drive voting which keeps us high in the ranks at important MUD info sites to draw in new players.

Kudos to the rest of you, too.

We also had 131 character applications last week, which is the highest quantity of character apps since October 2006 (one month before The Announcement), and a whopping 43% ratio to unique player logins. That's VERY high character turnover (our typical turnover is more like 20 to 30%), and probably does indicate a lot of newbs to the game (as Malken said), and some returning veteran players as well.

So, go out and befriend a newb today! Convince them to stick around and help ARM continue to grow.

And we're already at 248 for THIS week (we were at 244 last Weds when I checked, so that's higher, sooner!), so I'm thinking we could go even to 310 or so this week. AWESOME.
