The staff is pretty accepting of the idea that most of us are retarded. They've seen it all over the years.

I swear to god, I play Tablelands PCs more than absolutely anything. I have big honking red highlights for anything vaguely suggesting there is a pit nearby, due to...experience.

I once got a bad account note for asking to store a character, and to make a new one just like them with the same ingame friend and everything. I think it got removed once I informed staff that I was being an idiot, and an honest one at that.

I will never let Tortal forget that she made her dead char's cousin. Joined the Byn, had all the same friends and everything.   Haha Torty!

I've been asked about the relationship with one long ass lived char through various characters, and I've given a heads up when I haven't been able to avoid certain interactions too.  I have also  OOC'ly done something out of character for the character when I've been presented with it.
You have NO idea how many people make chars to interact with old friends/love interests. Staff has gotten better at knowing when it's twink. Hell, it happens a lot when you prefer one place and one place only.

A lot of my characters are either pretty or ruggedly handsome. I try to include some unattractive features on a lot of them, and my Rinthers are pretty realistic, but my only merchant had basically no flaws physically. I'm eagerly looking for the opportunity to horribly scar them.

So I was extremely lucky to land a role....and the first thing I do is determinedly ask an NPC cook for soup....that doesn't do soup.
I'm stood there in the presence of a storyteller, or someone else animating the cook, trying out all sorts of syntax to do with soup while she vehemently denies me. (I didn't know the syntax for listing foods!).

I might go hide in a corner now.

My shame, when I was a new player to Arm, probably my third character in about 2010, was leaving Allanak after my lover had ditched me for someone else. And following the north road.

We all know how that ends.
