This Gortok Meat is BLAND!

...where can you buy spices/seasonings in game? I have been in almost every shop in Tuluk, Allanak, and Luirs... but no spices or seasonings anywhere. Not to derail the thread before it starts, but the same goes for musical instruments. Any ideas?

They're all over the place. Think about where 'twould be logical for you to pick up seasonings and/or musical instruments, and check out there.

Find out IC.

Seriously, it'll be more fun that way.  ;D

Spitting out a chunk of half-chewed meat, the tall, muscular man asks, in sirihish:
"I'm tired of this tasteless shit!  Where the fuck can I get some spice what'll make this taste like something better than boiled shoes?"

Turning to look over the tavern, the tall, muscular man exclaims, in sirihish:
"And why's this place so boring?  Point me at music shop and I'll buy a lute to play myself.  Couldn't sound any worse than this screeching you kankwits call conversation!"

<sigh> Yes, find out IC, like it's been suggested. However, since I'm going to assume you've already tried (since you posted that you did), I'll also assume you are looking for "a jar filled with cooking spices" or "a small glassine envelope of oregano" or "a plastic container of paprika" which you are probably NOT going to find, even IC.

So - the OOC "cheat" on the IC info is (anal retentive IC junkies, please skip this):

Use VIEW on items in shops that normally serve people who enjoy cooking. Whenever you see something on the LIST that you don't already know about - such as - "a big bottle" or "a tiny box of green stuff" - use VIEW on that item. It will *almost always* reference its use in cooking, in the main description, or will have a separate line saying "You think you can use this in cooking." The main description will definitely have some hint, implication, or indication, that it is some sort of edible (if not palatable) food additive.

Also, remember that the game was last booted 15 days ago, so if you went on your quest to find spices yesterday, chances are that where you thought it would be logical to find spices, maybe they just ran out of it all a while ago.

Musical instruments? I seriously doubt you went to every shop in Tuluk and couldn't find any.. I don't think I'm revealing any big secret in saying that there's a whole section of Tuluk dedicated to music and the making of said music.

Next PC idea...

Shailoti flakes: Made from shailoti peppers originally produced by the Tan Muark, these dry yellow flakes give food a burning heat.

One that only eats foods with this seasoning on it. lol

Pretty easy, with the right sort of special app (if you know what I mean).
